  1. Indeed it is a daunting task, but those schools do it all the time. They load up with some big non district names early on and see what they have. I agree its not favorable, but if you go into 1-2 or all 3 places and at least are competitive, then you have a realistic approach to the rest of the season and the areas you have to work on, to win the big one. I like it, it is taking the wow factor out of the boys heads when it comes late into the playoffs and Trinity runs 100 kids out. To beat the best you have to play the best. Is it crazy? Yes. It is nuts? Yes. Will Coach Warner have them ready? Yes. Its a matter of time before someone goes down state and knocks off one of the powers. The way we (NKY) have been preparing to do it has not worked out as well as we would hope. Maybe thinking the way Ryle is will be a better approach.
  2. Doug Miller would be a great fit! He creates great relationships with the kids, he would have a following of assistants from CCHS, as long as lickert doesnt grab them all up, his philosophy fits into the bellevue mentality (or that of their past) oh and he is an alum. Anyone know if there is any truth to this?
  3. Coach Warner, Woolf and the rest of the staff always seem to get their guys ready to go. after the year that they had and upsetting Highlands, Raiderland should be ripping and roaring this off season. I just hope, satisfaction doesnt set it, but knowing those guys, they are hard at it. Are they still playing Highlands twice? and why not schedule Trinity? It worked scheduling Highlands. I think it gives you a measuring stick as well as an extra game of exposure to what Trinity brings to the table. Thought?
  4. how quick do you think that the process will take, I mean lifting should be in full swing and with as much talent as they have coming back I would think the guy who gets it would like to make up for any lost time. any names coming out of any of the other inner city type programs, Newport, Cincy, lex or louisville. i have not heard many names being thrown around.
  5. does it necessarily need to be a guy of experience... at least head coaching experience.. I would think a young guy with the right stuff may be better suited,,, for a guy looking to make a name for himself, who could ask for a better situation than at Station. I dont think it needs to be a big name or anything, Look at what Steve Lickert did for Holmes High School in NKY. A guy like alot of you say, had the mentality to roll up the sleeves and not just teach football but by life through it. With the right guy, looking to do the right thing, Station could be a sleeping Giant in Kentucky football, just waiting to get woken back up from its recent history.
  6. I couldn't have said it better. Being a guy that used to put on the helmet and cleats for the camels (many years ago) it is what cambell needed. He is a proven winner and will do great for program in its entirety. It seems like no matter what "we" get no one is ever happy about it. I think its just a matter of time before you start seeing that bandwagon getting full. Go CAMELS!
  7. He would be a great one to get! He's got a good thing going out there at Ryle though. I feel that he is a huge part of why the Raiders have done as well as they have since Bryson took over the program. He's a terriffic coach, even if he is getting OLD (I know you read this woolfy)
  8. With as much coaching turn around that the program has had, i think they may want to go with a young coach looking to prove himself. At least they could buy themselves a couple of years of having a coach. I know coach Turner didn't leave because of other jobs, and I wish him and his family all the luck and blessings in the world as far as his health conditions are concerned. I have not heard of any names concerning the job and would be interested in hearing some... i think the job is a GOLD MINE! if done the right way!
  9. I think Coach Rice has got the ship heading in the right direction. He and his staff have got to keep pushing the kids. i think 2011 maybe a little of a challenge if they cant find a replacement for their QB. From what I saw he was most of the offense. The Washington at WR kid will be back, but not sure if they have someone to sling it out to him. They have their work cut out, for sure. But as long as they keep building year to year, I think all they will do is go up from year to year.
