Open Job: LaRue County
SpickedBird replied to Colonels_Wear_Blue's topic in KY Football (High School)
With the right coach this program could compete in 3A. I thought coach Jaguars and Hatmaker had both done a great job there. The talent level was just on a down swing. I have heard that Henderson County Defensive cor. and the former Head coach at South Western and Casey County Andy Stephens was in the running for this job. I would Like to see what he could do with this program!! He had a few real nice teams at Casey County when he had the talent and won a Region at South Western!! But I also hear that maybe a old local middle school Legend has threw his name in the hat and I think a lot of people would like to see what he could do with this group of kids at the high school level!! Should be interesting Good luck to all!!! -
DJ White 6'5 215 OLB accepted offer from EKU!!!! Great young man who's best football is in front of him cant wait to watch him play in college!

Is Tony Lewis out at Henderson County?
SpickedBird replied to theguru's topic in KY Football (High School)
Josh Boston has to be the first choice at Henderson! They should have done picked up the phone and called him. I Don't even understand how this is a debate and if your right Coach Boston wants to stay at Union County then the Henderson Admin. needs to talk him out of it. That school has to much tradition and pride to bypass one of there own two times in a row! 1. Coach Boston is well respected by the staff at Henderson 2. Loved by current players and young Alumni as well as respected by older Alumni 3. He has a vast knowledge of game learning from many veteran coach's 4. He has great relationship with feeder program coach's and can bring in quality coordinators and asst. coach's 5. Henderson County football is where his passion is!!! (No one will out work him there) 6. He is a good man someone that you would want your kids to be around and to have as a role model. Those are hard to find these days even with coach's. That's just my thoughts hope it works out -
Henderson should have never let Josh Boston get away they had a homegrown guy who had been loyal to the program. He also came from successful coaching staffs at Henderson under Duffy and Clevenger! Great program and great people good luck Colonels

Both coaches had agreed to the game because it was the only game they could find but then Ballard Memorial could not get approved for the travel. So Casey County had to find another game. Coach Elliot at Ballard actually got Casey County and Ross Ohio together. it will be a one year deal with Ross making the trip to KY.

Bell County vs. Casey County Predictions
SpickedBird replied to rockmom's topic in KY Football (High School)
Ha dont look for no Air Raid coming from the Casey Co. Side!!! And If Bell only puts 8 in the box that will be the least anybody has stacked in there this year. Not saying Casey County can beat Bell Co. But I do think this week could show that Casey Countys Offensive line is a pretty good group. -

Casey coach reportedly resigns
SpickedBird replied to Rebelmedia's topic in KY Football (High School)
That’s the problem nobody in the School Administration cares if he leaves. They may say they do but their actions speak louder than their words. All Coach Stephens wanted was for the Administration to make it where he could keep one main Assistant coach on his staff that worked in the High School. He also wanted to not have to teach 5 Algebra classes a day (maybe had one extra planning period) not too much to ask for a guy who was the Head Football coach and head softball coach. The Truth of the matter at Casey County Andy Stephens was a thorn in the side of the principle, because he was just not going to be a yes man. Coach Stephens was going to push for things he thought it would take to make his sports programs more successful. This upset the principle at Casey County but he knew that he could not fire Coach Stephens so he made his job so unpleasant that Coach Stephens would leave on his own. Now with Coach Stephens gone he will replace him with someone who will be a yes man and will not make so much noise. (Like winning 8 football games at Casey County) I hate to say this but it would be hard for John Madden to win many football games at Casey County with this Administration. Especially with the backs of some many of the Casey County football supporters being broke over Coach Stephens’s departure. -
