  1. When I calmly approached 3 freshman age girls making the same shirts in the Boone bathroom before a game and told them they were representing their school in a classless way, surprisingly they did seem embarrassed. They couldn't look me in the eye. Maybe they'll remember that and next time they'll decide not to do something so immature. I think more adults need to speak up to our teens. Sometimes it just may make a difference, if not today maybe next year. Walking away shaking our head just makes it worse. Other kids see them get away with it. How about the boys from Simon Kenton wearing the paint on their back regarding "Travis and boys" at the game. Why didn't someones Dad step up with a cold glass of water or find some red lipstick and cross it out as they were walking through the Ryle section? I regret that I had not done it myself. I'm sure I would have had a bleacher of support behind me. Really, it takes a village folks.....these classless kids are our future. TThey will continue to get worse, unless we just take a minute when we see something going on, and address them calmly as adults. Of course they will mouth off because they are embarrassed, but just maybe it will change them for the better. Isn't that the goal? I'm sure writing about it later will not make a difference. That's my 2 cents.
