  1. Florida has no one but themselves to blame for the foul shot differencial. They stopped pounding the ball inside and drawing contact. Hard to get to the line when shooting from the perimeter.
  2. Mason wins this game by 10. Pendelton will come to play and feed off their awesome crowd support. I grew up with Chad Simms in Maysville, and believe me, he will have PC ready and hyped up. Maysville is proud of Chad and his accomplishments so far.
  3. As a Mason fan, I totally agree with the seating argument. But please put the blame on the administration, athletic department and most of all Fred Hester. The fans will sit where they want until told otherwise. If seats are designated, then I would gladly move to the other side of the Fieldhouse. The fact is that until they tell me that is the case, I will continue to sit in my regular seat during Mason's games. When Mason isn't playing, I would gladly give my seat up to another fan and move to a nuetral area.
  4. Humm....The Middleton incident did happen, whether you want to believe it or not. The point I was making is that high school students do stupid things. If it was adult fans committing these acts, then we have a totally different situation.
  5. Totally agree, high school kids are immature. If the GRC pep section was behind the Mason bench, the same thing would happen. A few years ago, at Clark, Russ Middleton was hit in the head with something thrown from the student section, while shooting a foul shot. Kids will do these stupid things. It was way worse back in the 80's, when certain schools absolutely hated each other.
  6. Mason does have a good coach, which in the end could make all the difference. Coach Humphrey will get this GRC team beat in the post season, just like last year. Yea, an injured Pawsat was a non factor last year, right? Give O'Hearn the quality talent that Humphrey has and he would hang another state banner.
  7. This years Royal team is in the same position as the 2008 GRC team. Just not enough horses to get past a deep and talented opponent like Cards. GRC lost a lot of talent that season and were completely out maned. I hope Mason can somehow keep the score in single digits and play with passion.
  8. Josh Menifee called for a shooting foul as time expired. This appeared to be a clean block, but Mason still didn't make the plays needed to win.
  9. 1995 was the year. Shaun Myrick and Fawns put on the best show in the history of the 10th Regional Tournament. I believe this was also Montgomery's only championship. Possibly the best game ever played in the Fieldhouse.
  10. Captain obvious, thats usually how championships are won. Does Coach K win titles without quality talent? Mason has won three straight regionals. Maintaining enough talent to win four straight is extremely difficult.
  11. The And 1 given to Setty was as bad a call I have seen in quite a while. That call was late in the game and could have definitely cost Rowan the momentum. Thankfully it didn't cost the better team the W.
  12. Boxscore anyone? I wasn't able to attend this game. Would greatly appreciate some quick stats.
  13. Humphrey = Great coach? Not sure I would put him in that catagory. He flat out choked away two straight regional titles. This team has state championship caliber talent that any truely great coach would love to have at their disposal.
  14. Mason is not a great team this year, plan and simple. They have had a successful run the past 10 years or so, but just cannot seem to find the right mixture of talent, balance and continuity. It is difficult to win one 10th Regional title, let alone 4 consecutive championships. To my knowledge, this has not been done by any team for several decades. This is GRC's year to close the deal, if they can get over the mental hurdle that seems to always hold them back. If Humphrey doesn't seal the deal this year, he should be sent packing. As far as the Royals are concerned, I am sure they will lace up the shoes and allow the chips to fall where they may. Good luck to both teams.
  15. The Royals are greatly limited at the guard position. Jordan Gilbert has absolutley no help handling the basketball. GRC easily wins by double digits at this point in the season. A total lack of depth and consistent foul trouble will doom this team for the remainder of the season.
