  1. Russell is looking good and I expect great things from them this year. Speed kills.
  2. Sidelinedoc, you hit the nail on the head and that is one reason why GC has been the king of underachievment. In the pre-season GC is always going to be a great team and all the problems have been fixed. But, when the season is half over GC will once again be an underachiever with the same problems. Players will quit, fans will be calling for the coaches head, GC will lose to Russell, and it will be East vs West all over again.
  3. Rowan County has some talent in Cross and Wing, but I would say it will be the same song in Morehead - some great players but no players to put around them. Rowan County to be great every year, but they can't seem to put a whole team together.
  4. For someone that obviously doesn't like Kenny Chesney, I have to say it appears you have followed his career pretty closely.
  5. I like the way you think. I would love to see more Saturday games in the area. More football for me.
  6. That's him. I don't care what size he is, as long as he's fast.
  7. Hey, sometime the truth hurts. Russell will not fall to Raceland three times in a row. Number 5 might as well be number 15.
  8. I honestly don't remember his name. He is a transfer from Mayfield, I saw him play some summer basketball this year and was told he was the back up QB at Mayfield last year. He is fast and quick. He's admittedly not very big. But, I think he will make a big impact this football season.
  9. 1. Johnson Central 2. Ashland 3. Russell 4. Rowan County 5. Raceland 6. Lawrence County 7. Fairview 7. Greenup County 9. Boyd County 10. West Carter
  10. Russell has the play maker. He will be the difference maker this year.
  11. I predict that Russell wins. West had a good year last season, but beating Russell? Not going to happen.
  12. Yes, it answers my question, thanks. The only point I was making with the comparison of the two cases was that the investigator and the BOC don't always agree. It seemed that that may be what people were pointing to make the point that he should have been eligible. But, your answer raised another question. If the student has already graduated and little to gain, if anything, and the rule has already been changed, what can come from the expense of fighting this? I know Highlands wants the win numbers and the consecutive winning season mark, but why fight this now?
  13. I love Russell, but I can tell you, they will not be able to beat Mason County this year. Mason is loaded, simple fact. I could see Russell winning one playoff game, maybe two if things fall right.
  14. It honestly doesn't matter to me if Highlands get the wins back or not, I have no ill will toward them. But, I remember when this case first happened, and all the stuff that followed. Here is my question: How is what you described above different then other similar cases that have taken place? For instance, it's basketball instead of football, but Dakota Euton transfered to Scott County. He had a change of address - moved two hours away, not across town. The investigator recommended that he be ineligible. The Board of Control ruled him eligible. This has happened many times, the investigator recommends one thing and the BOC does something different.
  15. Russell will be small but fast. Team speed will be their strong point.
