  2. Thats a little surprising but I wish the best to Mr. Jones.
  3. Reports are that he is heading to a local Italian Restaurant to celebrate.
  4. It is way too early to be making a statement like this as it is way too early in his career. Maybe he will be, but the fact is he is nowhere near Shawn right now.
  5. While I think it could be a good motivator if unemployment checks were stopped, do you realize just how many people would be put out on the streets with an act like this? You could very well see the number of homeless double or even triple overnight. There has to be a better solution, unfortunately I don't have another offer.
  6. Derrick Locke > Miles Simpson Randall Cobb > Miles Simpson Unfortunately, he won't be getting to return any kickoffs. Donald Russell, a sophomore, is also way ahead of him on the depth chart and in skills currently and will be getting snaps with Mr. Locke. Simpson needs to fight for 3rd String right now because is way too far back on the depth chart to be even considered to get a snap in a real game.
  7. Assuming he doesn't have an offer, what does he have to gain by saying that he does have an offer?
  8. So you are saying Saban and his coaching staff are incompetent and don't know talent when they see it?
  9. Many other D-1 colleges beg to differ. Offers like this speak for themselves about the kids abilities so I'll trust these schools judgement and evaluating skills over opinions like ours. Remember Alabama is always atop of the recruiting rankings so Saban knows who he wants and how they will fit into their system. I wish the kid well.

  11. I've seen many kids, college players, pros, etc. let good pitches go the first pitch because that is their approach to the late. That is, they always take the first pitch. However, sometimes the first pitch may the best one to hit! I think being aggressive and being ready to hit is essential to batters. Thats how the Reds are and especially to those early pitchers. Its paid off for them so far. A sudden change could totally transform their offense for their good or bad. Why change something thats allowed them to enjoy success as they have done so far?
  12. While this approach does have its drawbacks, look at how much the Reds have benefited from it thus far. I'd have more of a problem with it if were well out of the race for the division but its been this approach that has allowed the Reds to put up great offensive numbers and take the division lead. If they take a less aggressive stance, they might have the same output as before. I'd keep things as is until things change for the worse.
  13. Correct me if I'm wrong as I'm not too savvy at twitter but is it possible that there are limitations on the total number of characters allowed on each tweet? Thus it might need some shortening of words, etc. to get out the whole point. Regardless, I believe Ground Zero should remain as is to truly remember what happened there that day. With that being said, even if something was built there I still think none of us would ever forget what happened there. I just believe it should be left as is.
  14. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that 99% of college athletes have had at least 1 beer while being on a college campus for their careers. I don't really have a problem with it as long as they are being SMART about it. That means no driving, no disorderly conduct, vandalism, etc. Just my 2 cents though.
