10 Good
  1. Mustangs won their first round game against Lacrosse Wisconsin 3-1. They advance to the second round today and play Rock Island, Il at 5pm.
  2. I've attached a bracket that I made up based the regional pairings. Good Luck Mustangs!
  3. Danville beat Lyon Co. 13-2. They play BG at 2:30 today.
  4. 1st Round - Tuesday 7/26 11:00am - Dist. 4 Winner vs Dist. 2 Runner-up 2:30pm - Dist. 2 Winner vs Dist. 3 Runner-up 5:30pm - Danville plays Lyon Co. 8:00pm - Paducah plays Morehead
  5. That's too bad. Perkins is a great kid and a really good pitcher.
  6. Correction on the pitching for Boyle: Whittle pitched through the first part of the third inning, replaced by Blake Bottoms in the third, Jocob Bodner came in to relieve in the fourth, and Cody Morris came in the sixth inning.
  7. District tournament starts on May 18. I don't think they've decided the pairings yet. Because Boyle and Danville both have two district losses, it comes down to runs allowed. There seems to be confusion over whether it is total runs allowed in ALL district games or runs allowed between Danville and Boyle. There's a district meeting on Friday to decide the pairings so I guess we'll wait until then to find out.
  8. Lincoln picks up their first district win of the season against Boyle Co. This is the first time Lincoln has beaten Boyle since the 2006 District Tournament. This is a big confidence boost for the Patriots. Brandon Weir pitched the complete game after being out for two weeks with a pulled muscle in his leg. He looked good on the mound last night. He kept Boyle off balance with his off-speed stuff, which was working really well for him. Several Patriots had hits and they took advantage of some Boyle mistakes. Garrick Whittle started for Boyle and I think he lasted 3 innings, followed by Logan Tritapoe, and finally Blake Bottoms.
  9. That was Lincoln's JV team that played last night. Lincoln's coach must be trying to send a message to the Varstiy players after they took a thumping from Garrard Co. ealier in the week.
  10. The coaches haven't worked out a make-up date yet.
  11. Robles pitched last night but gave up two homers and several hits. Weir is still out with a pulled muscle.
  12. Tucker Brogle (Jr)started the game. They brought in a freshman, Tyler Holbrook, around the 5th inning and Trey Edwards (Sr)pitched the last inning. Not a good hitting day for Lincoln at all.
  13. Brandon Weir picks up his second win of the season throwing a 2-hitter against a very good 12th Region opponent. Trey Edwards hit a two-run bomb for Lincoln, his first homer of the season. Lincoln extends their win streak to 7.
