    Covington, KY..."ONCE A BULLDOG, ALWAYS A BULLDOG"
  1. Was hoping it would be different, but was expecting it to be a tough one for the Dawgs!
  2. Event Marketing 1-877-821-8643 ext.105 This is the number on our receipt, as we had to order 2 shirts before we left, and need to reorder my daughter's shirt.....the printing is messed up on the back last 3 lines. Very nice and helpful on the phone....hope you have the same experience!
  3. The parade is scheduled for this Saturday. It will begin at Holmes at 1:30 and travel north on Madison Avenue. From 2-4 there will be a community reception at The Madison, located at 7th and Madison. All staff, parents, students and community members are invited. So line the streets and congratulate our State Champions!:dancingpa
  4. This by far is the best thing I have ever read! I have told everyone I have seen today about this post. You certainly said everything that needed to be said and felt by all. I have seen so many NKY fans from all schools backing the Bulldogs. It certainly has been a community effort, and I can only hope that no matter who won the State Championship for the 9th region, this post would hold true to it's word. Thanks for these thoughts....and I hope you don't mind us passing it on! This is newsworthy and should be seen by all!:notworthy:
  5. A parade is in the works for this Saturday. All I know at this time is 2:00pm. If I find out the route and other details, I will pass that along ASAP(unless someone already knows, please share). Thanks to the 100+ who attended the welcome home today. It was another emotional moment for everyone! And the Dogs were hammin' it up.....they deserve to be on a cloud right now and enjoying every minute of this wonderful accomplishment! Evans Fieldhouse will be the new home for the State Champion Banner! Can't wait to see it hangin where it has belonged for 28 years!:dancingpa
  6. Congrats to Central......hold your heads high! You played an amazing game.....and by far, this was the best game I have ever been to! You played with heart, intensity, and spirit. You are an awesome team that deserved to be in this tournament. You should be very proud! It is evident the two best teams made it to the finals. To my Bulldogs............WAY TO GO! You rocked the arena. You never gave up. You pulled each other up when you needed to most. It was evident you wanted this, and you wanted it bad. You hung in there through everything thrown at you. YOU ARE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!! No one will ever take this wonderful accomplishment from you. NKY is proud...your peers are proud....the alumni are proud! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! You brought tears to many eyes tonight, young and old.
  7. I had heard that Riley was having some ankle issues....wasn't sure how much time he would play from the start????? Not sure if this is fact or rumor.
  8. I just don't see the Dawgs allowing a repeat. They have business with Boone County, just as they did with Bryan Station. They have been waiting, and according to the coaches, wanting this rematch. It will be a good game!
  9. This game will either be ugly.....or uuggllyy! Depends on the revenge factor on the minds of the Dawgs! I'm hoping for uuggllyy:taz:
  10. I understood that schools were being sent tickets...for the band, cheerleaders and players....everyone needed a ticket, but these particular students HAVE to be in uniform with the tickets they are issued. Overall, I'm not hearing great things about how the center is handling this tournament...but that's another blog going.
  11. Very good point. In defense of some spirited Holmes students, they are having to decide to spend their money on districts, regionals, or state....in the event all goes well. I know many did not attend the districts, and I know of a few that are attending the game Sunday and Tuesday, but definitely intend to go to Lexington if Holmes is there. Money is a big issue, for some students anyway. But there are still many that just come to the games to socialize, if they come at all.
