  1. No SBDM submitted his name to be their next principal.
  2. The new principal is Ted Beom and i don't think all the caoches are going to Jeff with Bobby.
  3. Why would you leave a place were you can win State every year to go somewhere the best you can finish is 2nd or 3rd. You can't beat T or X. Plus he is starting to get some of the best players in Jefferson Co. at Central, even competing with T and X for those kids.
  4. You can be offered a opportunity to come play football at all the Academies, but still have to get an appoinment from a senator, congressman or president. Their is no actual scholarship.
  5. I think Coach Lucas Is an excellent coach and has done a great job at BS, but Coach Nichols was getting some of the best players around town, even from St. X that is one reason that rivalry was so intense. Your not going to beat the big 2 in 6A, if anyone had a chance it was this year against Trinity and no one could do it. Good luck to Coach Lucas, but tough road ahead.
  6. LN firstmost I'm not trying to make a profit. If I'm a coach I want to win, but more interest in teaching young boys to be men, be accountable, and be a team player first. Their is a whole lot more than Xand O's, important but not what its all about. Coach Mueller produces a top quality product from top to bottom on the field, but he hasn't been able to do that without creating great young men of character with parents involvement, and I don't think anyone at Highlands would ever dare to take a survey of him, no matter what his bottom line was this year(profit). If your such a competitor why would you let your clients tell you how to represent them, don't you want to WIN(profit). I'm sure the parent, sorry client knows the law as well as you do?
  7. Ln I agree with alot of what your saying but; coaching and teaching is the only proffession were people "think" they can tell you how to do your job. I wouldn't walk off the street or think I now how to do your job and tell you what or how to do it. I don't know anyone telling their doctor how to treat them or telling their lawyer how to defend them. Most coaches do have a ideal of what they are doing and do have a direction they are headed with a program. This program was in trouble when this coach took it over and this coach was not afforded enough time to make a difference or implement his beliefs or change the culture of the program. Parents are very important ingredient to the a football program and their is a fine line in how they help and how they handle their business within that program. Kids love their parents and if Mom and Dad think coach is terrible then the kid is eventually going to believe the coach is terrible and stop working or believing in what is taking place. Just my opinion?
  8. He's already retired from teaching. He works a 100 days a year.
  9. Two different places and two different situations. Always Competetive and had some really good teams, could'nt beat Central in the district.
  10. Central dominated Breathitt in second half, I guess that is poor coaching! As a matter of fact they dominated every opponent in the second half in the playoffs, I think that is a coaching staff doing a great job of adjusting at half. Not many staff's as good as Central's, one of the best in the STATE!
  11. Sk Very average, and you can believe Simpson will not run for the yards he did this week. Manual alot better coached team, they will not try to run every play up the middle and can throw the ball a little. Also will not take starters out with 11:00 min to go in game.:isurrender:
  12. There is no tradition left at Butler, Bocko destroyed that. This was a great group of young men, they had the ability to very good. They have played the best teams in 6A for the past two years, only to play the lower level this year in 6A, which did not prepare them for the district or playoffs. Wins were important for these kids, but they needed to play competition.:ohbrother:
  13. Butler has a very good offensive line, they have stared and played together since they were 10th graders. For two years they played one of the best schedules in 6A. They don't get acknowledged but they are the reason Butler is 6-1 this year. Shout out to these guys GREAT JOB - Barnes, Godoy, Hall, Sivado, and Curley.:ylsuper:
  14. carmondy quit last night on the kids and you could see it glaziers eyes, he knew they were in a game.
