  1. I was told that Cooper asked to play at Ryle due to the field being so wet and Ryle told them no. Cooper's AD/Coach wanted to preserve the field for the remainder of the season. I don't think the field conditions have anything to do with a lack of trying.
  2. People are wanting to bring things up that happened three years ago. Lets take a look at the way things turned out. Borchers turned down a head job to stay as an assistant. The following year he got his shot at being a head coach. Coach Fisk took over the Scott job and since has been fired. Borchers has moved on to a 6A school where he has the potential to be successful if given time. Would this have happened if he took the Scott job? Most probably not. I have to say that I had a son play for coach Borchers and he really enjoyed playing for him. I think if you look at the history of Ludlow football it has never been extremely strong. Four wins on a season is average especially when you play bigger schools. Coach Hensley is always mentioned as being this tremendous coach and yes he did a nice job but he only had one winning season and played mostly smaller schools. It is a lost to the Ludlow Schools to lose someone like coach Borchers. I wish him the best of luck and I think people need to move on and quit bashing him for a decision he made three years ago which ultimately turned out to be a good one.
