  1. Any thought on this one. Don't know much about Fleming Co. this year.
  2. Well I agree that all teams should think they will win a game... hints why I said "I think recent Raceland v. East Carter record would indicate they certainly can't look at a game vs East Carter as a game they should win... no more so than East Carter should look at Raceland as a should win game..." All teams expect to win or should, you are correct... However it was made to sound that East is an easy win for Raceland... And most of the time the losing team does appear to play "flat" or "uninspired".... Also, I didn't bring up this game, it was already being disused by several people... so I'll assume that wasn't directed at me... I just felt compelled to express my opinion... As I am sure you would if you was reading an East Carter thread that had Raceland circled as an easy win..
  3. So at what point in that game did it look like they "shouldn't have lost" to East Carter? They were out played in almost all aspects of the game, in the second half... I wasn't at the West Carter game so I can't comment, however I did see West play some good football last year... I do know that East Carter had problems of their own last year however, I think recent Raceland v. East Carter record would indicate they certainly can't look at a game vs East Carter as a game they should win... no more so than East Carter should look at Raceland as a should win game... Seems to me this series has turned into a very competitive one...
  4. He is playing for the Lexington Horsemen... and coaching the O-line at East Carter
  5. I agree... game was called so poorly it was almost a joke... really we were laughing several times... not only terrible calls against East but Ashland got the short end of the stick serveral times as well... But aren't we really getting used to this?? Very few good high school officals still out there... not just basketball but football, baseball... Not hard to see why... I wouldn't do it for the money compared to hassel...
  6. Congrats Coach Baker! well deserved, we are thankful to have you here at East Carter!
  7. lol goraido beat me to the punch on that one... you're so quick you...
  8. Really?? Underdogs?? They have played in the regional finals the last two years and the semifinals of the state tourney last year... not sure I'm buying the underdog thing... I keep hearing this whole "poor little Elliott co" thing from people... I mean they don't have a football team so that is pretty sad but, besides that it seems to me that Elliott co is and will be one of the best teams in the region… Until the juniors graduate... So to come to a point I'm granting underdog status and all the love that comes with it to east carter lol... Now to the game... I think its easy to see this game could go either way... sure Elliott blew out East once this year, but the other two games could have easily been an East win... So in the 4th match up of two pretty evenly matched teams, I have to say I think coaching and game plan will win/lose this one... and unfortunately for the Lions the best coach in the 16th region resides in Grayson... (Unless the entire Elliott co team gets hot... then I'm not sure anyone can beat them...) with that said: East 68 Elliott 62 Good luck to coach Baker and staff... as well as the fine boys on that team!!GO RAIDERS!!!
  9. Could not agree more with you flyin in the flag. I think if the people in grayson knew what we have up there in this coaching staff, we wouldnt be hearing all of the complaining. These coaches truly care about the future of the kids and the East Carter program and they want to continue on what coach Damron started and even bigger things. I for one hope that we can keep this staff together for many years to come. WAR RAIDERS!
