  1. Vanhoose, Mcdavid, and Daniel all three had good years, and are great kids. The kabc vote is done by whoever pays their $15 and not too hard to influence their vote, all it takes is a phone call and a favor. One school could pay for 5-8 votes if they were organized about it and that would take care of the kabc vote. I think the coaches that really matter (and have a lot more at stake than $15) are the college coaches and its pretty obvious who they thought was the best player in the region. The argument about having a supporting cast and stats is pretty bogus , the weaker your supporting cast is, the greater your individual stats should be, also it is easier to pad stats on a losing team than a winning team. Just stating some pretty obvious facts. Good luck to all the 16th region seniors. It was a pretty good year to watch them play. Gametime-- I was at the Rowan County game, Rowan County did play some zone, when they played man, Daniel was guarding Vanhoose, and it seemed like he scored more than 42 but I could be wrong
  2. Hmmmm, now it wasnt the first time you've been confused was it?
  3. 1. I usually hear a last name along with the nickname 2. The kids seem to like their nicknames 3. I don't think the broadcast is aimed at the casual Raceland listener I think the Russell broadcast team beats the Raceland crew all too pieces! :fire:
  4. Where the game is at? You mean have the game somewhere that Vanhoose, Blair, and Robinson don't show up at? Because that was your problem, Boone has to have the press to be successful, and you can't press those three guys Merry Christmas though
  5. Greenup County would beat Elliott County right now, and Rowan would beat Raceland
  6. I agree, as long as they can continue to play mediocre teams and not draw Rose Hill or Boyd County in the first game of the district, they can make it to the Regional with around a 500 record:thumb:
  7. When Rose Hill beat Piarist last year by about 40, they were not considerate enough to give the 16th a warning, Giat should be commended by warning the rest of the 16th after smacking Rock Hill around so easily, Piarist and Rock Hill would be rated a "pickem" game Consider us WARNED:scared: Ashland vs Fairview game is shaping up to be another interesting battle this year :dancingpa
  8. Was this a running clock or is Ashland not running quite as much as we were led to believe? 52 points sounds about the same as last year
  9. Your Peeps get a score or anything? Was it against the JV or what? Give us some color about the Biggs deal at Ashland?
  10. It was, most of the players were from Georgetown!
  11. I played in the Y league in Huntington one year and averaged 32 and 16, wasnt that tough a league, I guess it all depends on who you play I think I'll stick with Russell
  12. Dickie and Dirk on the cover? WOW How many extra copies did you get?
  13. Well, that is not excactly going out on a limb, everyone (outside of Sandy Hook) think it will be close but Russell will survive, if your going to predict something, don't stick with the crowd, either go with the Sandy Hook crowd and predict a close Sandy Hook win, or go with me and predict an easier than expected win over a gritty opponent:thumb:
  14. Its been awhile since High School, I think the next line was "Sh for Sandy Hook"____________________________
  15. Speaking of Sandy Hook, seems like there was a cheer featuring Sandy Hook back in my High School days Sandy Hook Sandy Hook we are from it_________________________________ Something along those lines
