JD's Dad...this is a classic example of fans seeing two different games. IMO...if BC doesn't miss foul shots and wide open bunny's early in the game...they could have run away with it. I personally felt Boone handed the game to SK last year and could have made a ton excuses why it happened (including some of yours), but they deserved the loss because SK was more composed and out-played us down the stretch. This year...I felt that BC showed more composure down the stretch and kept the ball in the hands of their two experienced players. I'm personally much more proud of how our younger role players responded. Boone has a combined 10 soph's/fresh on this roster so for the first time in years there are "zero" expectations...so they are just playing. This win will hopefully help our kid's gain a little confidence...I'm also convinced the loss exposed some things that coach Stowers will correct. So both teams gained something early in the season. Many of us were surprised with the outcome...but you can't steal our thunder because these kids played hard.

SK should win big...they are returning their entire team, BC lost 5 of their top 8 from last year, it's on SK's home floor, and they beat BC last year...shoud be a no-brainer! If Boone could keep the loss within single digits it would be a nice boost for their confidence.

SK...by as many points as Stowers wants...IF the outcome is less than 25pts it will be because he chose to save some juice for their Monday match-up...IMO

Play a slow down game and let MC shoot...and it could be a long night for NDA...Speed the game up, like NDA will certainly do, and I will give the edge to NDA since it's on their home floor.

bjim...I personally couldn't agree more with the first line of your post. I've said it from early on that they are a top team in the 9th as well as the top team in the 33rd. I also stated that I cannot understand why Hodges rarely gets mentioned...she is one of the toughest and most fearless players I have ever seen.

I hear ya CoachK...I agree with Long and Sandfoss. They belong in the top 5...at least. I personally have no idea how Hodges (Conner) continues to get overlooked because that young lady is special and is tough as nails. It's a classic case of the writers down south knowing very little about NKY...I'm sure they would prefer to only rank in their geographical area, but they are required to be politically correct. They seem to have just copy/pasted their rankings from other "old" articles because they still have BC at #1 and there is no possible way...

Sparrow is practicing "lightly" and will hopefully be back to form this month. Unfortunatley we will never know about the Bowling girl so no need to speculate what would've, should've, could've happened. She will be much happier in her new surroundings and that's what matters.

Sorry to burst your bubble Flatrock; however, the poll that was recently released was put together back in April...and was just released again. Boone was tabbed #1 when Findley, Brasseaux, and Sparrow were expected to be on the roster. If there was a "do-over"...Boone would fall to 4th or 5th. I also disagree with every other comment you made. Those other teams are not selfish...and they each have better 1-2 punches than Boone (especially NCC). You might want to strap on your seatbelt my friend because you are about to go on a bumpy ride if you are a BC fan.

Happens every year UNC...she brought up 3-4 last year...4 the year before that (which seemed to work out okay)... It's no secret that Boone lost 9-10 players off of last years V squad (grad, VB, Soccer, transfers, injury)...You know as well as anyone that Boone will struggle this season...breaks your heart...huh? Let's talk about the freshmen team...you can add this to the BC thread.

CardFan...My guess is that Fookes will pull these two girls up to JV/Varsity along with a couple of others.

This topic has been discussed. BC will struggle big-time and thay have no one to replace any player that was lost. They lost a total of 10 players off of last years team and will finish in the middle of the pack in the 9th region...at best! The ranking that was used in today's KY Post is the same one from back in April which is why they are ranked #1. Since that time poll they lost 4 additional impact players. Prior to then, they were absolutely the favorite to win the region. Not even Nell Fookes can pull a rabbit out of this hat...

It happens in every state...There is much much more moving around if you cross the bridge...
