  1. West's hopes of defeating Fairview were dashed when Casey Jones broke a bone in the top of his foot during a practice session on Friday prior to the regional tournament. Two minutes later after Jones' freak accident, Justin Wolfe (Center) suffered a concussion requiring several stitches. Neither player practiced for three days and a game time decision was made on both Jones and Wolfe. Jones gave a gutty performance with 16 pionts, but could not move laterally. Wolfe was ineffective and played limited minutes. West had a difficult time matching up against Fairview. West would have played Russell (Region Champs) next had they beaten Fairview. Defeating Russell would have been a difficult task with a healthy Jones and Wolfe.
  2. Yes, Coach Webb and Aaron Rayburn's mother are first cousins. Also, Taylor Webb and Aaron Rayburn are first cousins.
  3. Not his nephew. Taylor Webb is Terrell Webb's son. Terrell and Jeremy Webb are first cousins.
  4. Now that right there is funny!
  5. Officials are going to make honest mistakes, but one call clearly stands out from last night's game. The two officials nearest this particular play ruled a jump ball; however, the official who was the farthest away came in and overruled the other two officials and called a foul on Barker. In my humble opinion, this trio lost their credibility for the remainder of the game. I also think there should be some stipulation on officials not officiating games at their alma mater. Officiating is a tough job and I don't see too many people standing in line to include me.
  6. Should be a great game. Both teams coming off losses.
  7. Game will be played at West. Bo Thompson for West has played well lately! He's 6'7" and could give Bath some trouble both inside and outside.
  8. Bert scored around 3,125 points. He graduated in 1959 and had no 3 point line. I believe he scored about 50 of those points as an 8th grader.
