Coach Tiller resigned to go a different direction.

Here in our Eastern Kentucky School, it is not the players that are the problem usually. It is getting the buses up the mountains to get kids that otherwise cannot attend school. These kids do not come off the mountains for school unless the buses carry them. It is too dangerous when you have any type of snow at those elevations to get buses up there because the roads do not get treated. We have a high percentage of students who live in the mountains but very few who can play because they depend on the bus for transportation. So... We cannot have school because the mountains are dangerous for buses to travel for kids, but the main roads are very passable for practice and games. But this is just our school.

On the flip side Estill was without their leading scorer and 2nd leading rebounder who had 6 screws and 2 pins put in his hand - he is out for 6-8 weeks. The starting power forward was suspended and the 6th man quit friday because of his time with girl/work/weightlifting etc. - no excuses just the way it is. We did the best we could with the players we had and played **** good under the circumstances.

Your right you lost 2 double digit leads in the last 5 minutes. It was a 1 point game with 10 seconds to go - I'd say that's close.

Competitive - probably #2 now 5-7 points behind Owsley and 2-3 Points ahead of Powell and 7-8 ahead of Lee.

They lose 8 seniors and 95% of their scoring but return a very talented Kenton Roberts and decent to good supporting cast. They will have a lot of work to do, but will be ok if they put in the time and effort. Might be rough at first in the summer and early fall but i see them finishing well in March.

Professor, Hate to correct you, but Estill lost their starting 6'2" 4 man and Leading rebounder Kenton Roberts to a closed fist blow that he never saw at the Riverside Prep Showcase at Breathitt against Johnson Central. He makes a big difference. He suffered a concussion and broken cheek bone.

Florida has or had one for games that are a 30 point margin or more.

So you want freshman who might not see anymore varsity minutes all year to hold the ball. Short of holding the ball nothing else could be done. They were playing zone defense in the fourth. We could ask them not to rebound on the offensive end also. Only solution is not to play this game in the future. With all due respect Riverside would be better suited in the Christian School Association.

No starter played over 7 minutes and only one starter broke double figures. When the game was scheduled Riverside had won 9 games the previous year. I don't think anything could be done to prevent this. As for Estill's schedule their 8 losses come to teams with a combined record of 68-19.

It was not a blowout vs. Estill.
