Just read this thread & some posters are in mid-season form complaining about JPU, BP & others. It's awesome how, in game 1 of 162, people are able to draw so many conclusions. I love it.
I've hated BP for a few years now. It's nothing new for me.

I know, I was just commenting. I got a few texts / emails similar to the posts in this thread.

I'm a proponent of trading Phillips, but I don't think it's going to happen. The Reds have a shot at winning this year & that requires BP to be in the lineup. Like you, I don't think we can re-sign him (unless he takes a pay cut or freezes his salary). It's an interesting situation.

I will say one thing: Brandon Phillips has horrible fundamentals.

He does drive me crazy at times but he is one of the top 2B in the game.

Dusty does makes some questionable decisions. Volquez was no where ready to start that game yesterday.

Who did you want to start? The guy who admittedly doesn't like pitching during day games? He was pretty much offered the start and turned it down.

I like Phillips but I agree with some that say he'll drive you insane from time to time.
