  2. I know comparing scores is dumb but… Highlands 21 Bowling Green 18 Bowling Green 14 McCracken 10 Graves 49 McCracken 16 Like I said you can’t put much stock in scores, but these scores say Graves is top 5. I am 100% biased and cannot be objective at all in this with my Eagles.

  3. Hendo a big 6A school always has size and speed. Williams is the fast back and they have a D1 D-lineman - Saadiq Clements. They love to grind you, slow the game. They live to hit so I think this is a good matchup.

  4. The Mustangs come in to War Memorial 0-3, and all signs point to them leaving 0-4. Mayfield is enjoying their usual passing attack, but they also are mustering a monster ground game. No one has had an answer for Kylan Galbreath so far, and I do not expect the Mustangs to have one either. Mayfield wins 35-7.

  7. You can't knock Trinity because they step out of the norm and take on some of the best out of state teams in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, etc. Trinity started 0-4 in 2003 and still ran the tables to win the 4A state title. Male, St. X & Trinity are the best 3 teams in 6A regardless of record and they prove it almost every year when it counts....in the playoffs.

  8. South Warren, St. X, and Trinity - these are the teams that have won at Bowling Green in the last seven years. I don’t see the post-2005 version of Hopkinsville adding their name to that list.

  9. I saw where someone bet $10 on an 18 leg parlay. They hit the first 17 coming into tonight. The o/u was 75.5, they had to sweat out that under. Looks like they won almost $80k on it.

  10. Purples travel to Daviess County tonight and earn a hard fought 21-7 win. JR QB Will Clark started for BG and looked ok. He hit SO WR Evan Tuck on a screen and he trucked the DB and raced 86 yards for the only score of the first half. Clark threw an INT first possession of the second half and BG made a switch to SO Andy Haga at QB. But a big momentum play was BG was backed up in their own territory and their punter kicked a 65 yard punt and flipped the field. The BG D held and forced a short punt by DC. BG marched down the field led by Jadius Flipping and Dillon Manners running the b

  11. Highlands is to high at 4. Owensboro without Wimsatt isn't number 2 anymore IMO. I'd take Graves over Scott County. This class is good top to bottom. Should be a great run of games in the 5a playoffs.

  13. This is why I hate RPI. If LCA beats CAL, Lex Cath & Pikeville, that's a tough run there, but it's a 3A, 4A & 1A school and ultimately, won't hold as much weight in RPI as if Beechwood runs the table and beats 5A Covington Catholic, 6A Dixie Heights & 6A Simon Kenton. I think if all 3 teams run the tables, Beechwood is still #1 in RPI with LCA #2 & Mayfield #3. I guess we'll see.

  17. There is a thing called strength of schedule. What team below them is going to play the powers they play any closer? I think none do.

  18. I think the kids at Owensboro have something to prove and that is they are not a one man team. In all likelihood they could play the entire second string in this game and probably still win comfortably however how these kids finish the season without Wimsatt will truly be the interesting. I think they will band together and have an incredible season.

  19. I like Lou Holtz. I really do. He reminds me of an alcoholic grandfather or uncle. He’s out of his element when discussing current topics. 50 years ago, his comments may have had some merit. I feel like Lou Holtz wishes kids were still wearing leather helmets. He’s an out of touch dinosaur. Don’t care how religious he is.

  20. Boyle County enters this game at 2-1. Last week they defeated Pulaski County 60-29. Henderson County enters at 2-0. Their last game physically played was August 20, a 31-13 win over Calloway County. The other being a Covid forfeit victory. The Rebels have moved to #3 in the 4A rankings while Henderson remains at #8 in 6A. Henderson County will play host to Boyle Friday night making this one of the longest regular season road trips in recent memory for Boyle. Boyle’s defense was in question after LCA ran straight through it a couple weeks ago but those questions were answered against Pula

  21. OHS will still be heavily favored in their district and a lock for a semi-final even without Wimsatt. Carbon, Goodwin, Hines and their Tackles will be the best players on the field each game they play until deep in the playoffs.

  26. Definitely a little of both going on here. I didn't give Graves their due, thinking their offensive line wouldn't hold up against McCracken (I was obviously way wrong), but its possible that McCracken was overrated coming into the season. We shall see. Graves has a chance to serve up a lotta crow this season.

  27. Eddie Gran had 3/4 situations occur that I think put him in a bad situation at UK. If you look at his first game at UK it was similar to that of Coen. 300+ passing yards 3tds. Situation 1: Drew Barker’s back injury vs Florida. Barker was the QB that threw for 300+ and looked great in the Southern Miss loss. Unfortunately the very next game he suffered a back injury vs Florida that eventually cost him his career and thrust Stephen Johnson into the QB1 spot. This led to the emergence of Benny Snell (arguably the best RB to wear the blue and white) Gran had to rely on Boom Williams and Benny

  29. Which explains to me why you expect for GS to go to Bowling Green and beat SW. 🙃 As I said GS is a good football team, great QB. They were 7-4 last year with the best win at Booneville. I would fully expect 12-1 Owensboro, who’s best win was Freddie D to win that game - much more speed. I’m sure GS is better this year, but SW will probably be the best team you face. All of these teams like GS/Owensboro/Evansvilleteams/Booneville are in the Evansville/Henderson/Owensboro market (TV). Allen is top notch but South will have the speed advantage. South 38-21

  31. "In today's society we demand less from children, expect less from them and then we blame them when they make mistakes as adults". That's a quote from Frank Martin back in 2017. I think he's spot on. Society has changed, adults and expectations have changed, but kids are kids. If they talk about rights & privileges (which I assume is Coach Holtz's way of saying they are selfish and entitled) & don't talk about responsibilities & obligations, it's not because they were born to think that way. They were taught that at some point or nobody ever tried to correct them. It's hard t

  32. Ballard has two D1 Defensive ends plus a front 7 that wrecks havoc. In saying this I’m also saying BG defense is Elite as well. I just think Ballard is a little better on D. Like a 1A & 1B type of thing. I predicted a 24-3 BG win.

  33. This is what’s amusing to me… Older generations think just because they shut up and took whatever their older generations gave them that everyone after them is supposed to do the same. We’re not built like that.

  35. When you messed up as a kid, did you worry about it ending up on CNN? Did you have social media? And were you bullied via social media? Did you worry about someone shooting up your school? Did business owners worry about being cancelled? To ignore all the challenges that are present today that weren't around 20-30 years ago is either the result of being extremely sheltered, or being dishonest.

They are a private company and in this country private companies are allowed to pick and choose which individuals they want to serve. They have the right to refuse service. Said individual can go to Walgreens just like the rest of us and get a free test done. The premium service is a privilege.

  39. This whole Wild Card playoff chase is a sham from the get-go. The Dodgers/SanFran are 14 games ahead in the race for one of the two Wild Card spots with the other winning their division outright. Whoever the other team is, out of respect, and common dignity should concede the Dogers/SanFran the WildCard game. If anyone thinks the Reds are going to go to the West Coast and beat one of these teams with a spot in the playoffs on the line, I've got some oceanfront property in Arizona that you might be interested in. I do, however, think that a one game, win or go home situation is grossly

  44. My assumption is Coach Holtz is trying to make more of a statement about society as a whole, and not college football players. He is referencing the early 70s (50 years ago). Highlighted by the tail end of the protest era, human/environmental rights advocacy, and Woodstock. I am sure he had a glowing view of all of those things at the time. 🙄 Obligations, rights, privileges, responsibilities, etc. All can be shaped to mean whatever you want these terms to mean. Each have their pros and cons, but none of which should be fully dismissed in any era. I hear what he is saying. But it is n
