After three straight mornings of being on the upswing I think the peak was definitely Monday - fatigue was obvious, making it hard to work for more than hour at a shot (home office work). Head is cleared out mostly and nothing ever got into the chest/lungs. Same with others who tested positive. Range from no symptoms and not positive to to a mild fever for a few days - only 1 with fever. All with symptoms saying like a cold but with some flu-like (chills) feeling. Never had a fever over 98.1. O2 never below 96. Hit the vitamins and supplements harder during this period. No real "medical" treatment or instructions. Thanks for prayers and wishes.

To keep the Sweet 16 in March because of “tradition” and to accommodate spring sports is idiotic. We have to be real here and admit that basketball is the bloodline financially for the KHSAA. Playing the Sweet 16 in May, like Tackett originally proposed, would allow for no conflict with SEC/NCAA tournament, being the only “show in town”, a likely vaccine available to most which leads to full capacity, gives you the opportunity to have a MASSIVE crowd. That gives the association a chance to make more money; money they desperately need. Julian said it is possible to play spring sports into July if needed. Spring could still have a full season even with basketball going into May and still only have the normal 3-4 week overlap between winter and spring sports. Today was a missed opportunity to help the KHSAA make some much needed money with a May Sweet 16 that would ultimately benefit all KHSAA sports. I hope the Board, particularly Darrell Billings and Mark Evans, realize that blown opportunity.

The Turkey is obvious, but what would you choose to round out your ideal Thanksgiving meal if you could only choose 3 sides & 1 dessert? (Note: Bread does not count as a side) I'm going with: Mashed Potatoes & Gravy Corn Macaroni & Cheese Butterscotch Pie What say you?

Wildcats travel to Tuscaloosa to take on the top ranked Tide. Kentucky needs to have time consuming drives punctuated with touchdowns to keep Alabama's explosive offense off of the field. I will predict a 38-14 Alabama win.

The best QB prospect since Trevor Lawrence analyst say. What a pull by Ryan Day and Corey Dennis out of Texas!

Quinn Ewers becomes the 2nd highest rank player in the composite to ever commit to Ohio State with a score of .9994, only behind Terrelle Pryor who was a .9997. Ewers threw for 4,003 yards, 45TDs and just 3 INT as a sophomore last season for Texas powerhouse Southlake Carroll HS. This kid is the Lance Harbor of Texas football.

It’s kind of hard to believe that Boyd County is the four seed, I have saw all of Holmes games and I honestly thought Boyd was the second best team in district, no disrespect to Harrison or Rowan, they just looked the most complete. About a two and half hour bus ride to Covington, give me Holmes in a pretty good game, just think Holmes has a little more speed, but don’t count Boyd out, hope to give some updates, I’m doing pa this week, so will squeeze some in when I can.

Oddly enough for two programs with long histories of football success this will be the first ever playoff meeting between Tilghman and Trigg.

Fields for the rest of this year. Three man race next year with Stroud, Miller, and McCord and then Ewers the year after. Is there a doubt in anyone’s mind that the best QB guru in the country is Ryan Day?

Excited to get to see some HS Football tomorrow night! Pretty sure the Purples will handle business .. I believe all starters are due to play. All kids are both sides I’m sure are hungry to get back out under the Friday night lights.. The Purples haven’t played since their game against Trinity. They took the BIG “L”.. but walked away uninjured pretty much. Trinity is just in a league of their own. For Cooper to not have been sacked at all that night was actually incredible. He was definitely running for his life from the sound of the snap for sure!! Does Greenwood have a QB they’re comfortable with now ? May be a tighter game if so! Glad these young men get to keep playing and finish out their season !!

They have a choice to pursue a different league, they don't have to play in the NFL.

Agreed 100%. If we get to the finals and this happens it could be disruptive, but I'd want to see the two teams that were supposed to play, not winner of bracket A semi-final vs. loser of bracket B semi-final.
  23. 1 point
That is where I am. If you lose, you're out. The only place I wouldn't want this is for the finals. To me you follow the same pattern the KHSAA used with field hockey - if a team has to quarantine before the state finals, move the state final game back a week or two. Not ideal, but could work.

We're thinking about the same. I've got 47-14 Alabama.

I haven't seen him enough to evaluate his skills, but if he can block, that's only going to elevate his NFL prospects.
  27. 1 point
I wish there was flexibility. If a kid is less than three years removed from high school but wants to try the NFL, go for it. But if you aren't drafted you should then have the ability to return to school while retaining your athletic eligibility. (I'd argue for the same rule in basketball and any other college sport).

Another impressive thing about Mayer is his blocking ability. Did anyone see him line up in the backfield? His ability to block is going to up his NFL Draft stock.

Any approved webcast (or telecast simulcast on a website) shall require the originator to provide a link to the telecast/website not less than 24 hours prior to the origination of the contest, and such link shall permit the Association to add the content to the NFHS Network menu of contests. Failure of any approved webcast (or telecast simulcast on a website) to provide a link for inclusion on the NFHS Network will result in denial of approval. An incredible request. Requiring entities to give up their ownership rights to their own broadcast. Wow.

Indiana has their best team in decades, maybe forever....I’m not familiar with their football history, but Ohio State is in a league by themselves this year in that conference. Buckeyes by at least 3 TD’s is my guess.
