But the food is still the same. With the BEST darn Bean Soup in town and a cold one for a buck fifty, it's hard to beat.
Wow, I will have to pay Check's a visit. Can you get a table after 6 or should I plan on getting there before?

Earlier the better. I antisipate it will be pretty crowded. Especially since it's an X vs. Manual Game.

Have one for me, our group is doing Flabbies this week!

Good Luck RAMS.

    GO TIGERS!
This X defense is slightly different than in years past. The defensive line is very, very quick..with strength. The linebackers are very fast and can really hit. The secondary is very strong with a safety that plays like an extra linebacker...very physical but can run with any wr. Conner Hale may be one of the best corners in the state. I just don't see this defense giving many points up.

Both the Tigers and the Crimsons have shown excellent offensive performances against top quality opponents so far this season. Nevertheless, I believe the true strength of both teams is their defense; therefore I do not look for a real high-scoring affair. After a tight first half, look for the Tigers to begin wearing out the Crimsons in the 4th quarter to pull out a 24-13 hard-fought victory.

Okay, Manual cousins, I'm ready to be served more food (brats and bean soup) and drink.

This could be an intriguing game. X has overcome a number of early season injuries and the defense seems to be at peak performance. The running game and kicking are up to standards X has come to expect. There are, however, issues that remain. The passing game has yet to assert itself, due to inaccurate throws and dropped passes. This may prove to haunt the Tigers against top flight teams like Manual (picked to win district by the CJ) and Trinity. The unbeaten, fourth ranked in the Litkenhous Ratings Rams look to unleash a powerful running game against X. Could the Tigers be peeking ahead to their engagement with second ranked Litkenhous Ratings archrival Trinity? Could they be unfocused after a steller outing against sixth ranked Litkenhous Ratings rival Male? Will a murderous schedule take a toll on the Tigers? All these factors, to some extent, will be present Friday night. I see X in a hard fought 28-17 victory.

Yes, a great deal of excitement and nostalgia. It was "home" for over 40 years. Hopefully Rams fans can attend next year's game at X and find the Tiger's den up to par, if not in size and history, at least in appearance and amenities. And, as to Checks, I predict that among all the X fans, one or two adult beverages will be quaffed there.

Last time I heard that word it was used by Homer Simpson in the first Treehouse of Horror... why did I bring that up? I don't know.

Let's have an injury-free game tomorrow for both teams, and come on Rams, let's get that much-wanted (and NEEDED for the proper R-E-S-P-E-C-T) victory against the Tigers!!!!

Injury free-agreed. Need for respect- I think you would be surprised at the respect many X fans have for Manual- and not just in football.

Diogenes, My hope is that the Rams fans don't have to wait until next year!
(i.e. When the Tigers come way victorious Friday night, they will have won the district and home field advantage this year)

While the lights are still the old ones there will be another improvement to Manual stadium in place for the game - new PA system just installed.
Along with the revamped field house, brick paver, new scoreboard, new iron gates replacing the old wooden ones, and other improvements Manual Stadium has really improved over the last 5-6 years.

I think it is different, and I now understand why. There is no love between Manual and Saint Xavier/Trinity for many reasons. And while Saint Xavier and Trinity are tremendous rivals, hatred is a little extreme for most (but not all) fans from both sides.

    Saint Xavier - 41
    Manual - 13

The result of this game has huge playoff implications, ie) Home Field....

Both Teams should hold nothing back..... Should be a great game.
