    W.Ky Big School Rankings - Wk3 results

    There were 9 voters in this weeks poll. Thanks to all who participated. Here's this weeks results:

    1) Bowling Green (3-0) - (9) - 90 pts
    2) Owensboro Sr (3-0) - 80 pts
    3) Graves Co (3-0) - 62 pts
    4) Warren East (3-0) - 61 pts
    5) Apollo (3-0) - 49 pts
    6) Christian Co (1-2) - 36 pts
    7) Warren Central (1-2) - 34 pts
    8) Marshall Co (1-2) - 28 pts
    9) Lone Oak (2-0) - 22 pts
    10) Daviess Co (3-0) - 18 pts

    Other receiving votes: Madisonville (2-1) - 15 pts

    The Bowling Green Purples rebounded from last weeks heartbreaking loss to 6a's #1 team with a convincing and dominating performance over always tough North Hardin, 36-6, to maintain there overwhelming #1 spot in this weeks rankings. For the 3rd consecutive week, they took all the 1st place vote. Owensboro was challenged this week by an always talented Christian Co. team, but, held on for a 24-22 victory to retain there #2 spot. Graves Co remained at #3 with it's thrilling come from behind road victory over 6a rival Marshall Co, 36-34. Warren East stayed at #4, after it's hard fought victory over the 2a power Bardtown Tigers, 27-20. Apollo moved up 1 spot to #5, after it's big 6a district win over previously unbeaten Madisonville, 27-24...

    Christian Co, despite it's close loss to #2 Owensboro and it's 1-2 record, moved up a spot to #6, to head the next 5. Warren Central dropped 2 spots to #7, after it's 41-26 loss to another 5a power John Hardin. Marshall Co remained in the #8 spot, despite it's 1-2 record and heartbreaking loss to #3 Graves Co.. Lone Oak, idle this week, remained at #9, while Daviess Co was the only newcomer to this weeks rankings, coming in at #10, after it's big district win over Henderson Co, 35-29. Madisonville (2-1), was the only team to drop from this weeks rankings, after it's close loss to Apollo.

    Madisonville loses by three points to the #5 team on the road, yet doesn't get in the poll ... interesting.

    The Maroons should be in there somewhere.

    I tend to agree with you...I think they should be in there somewhere, possibly even in the Top 6-7...
