    Education, without a doubt, is a great reason for a choice of high school. How many of these players will play in the NFL? Another point, freshman football, I believe, should be about development. Who might be the best quarterback as a freshman might be totally different when those players are seniors. Numbers (St. X has 100+ kids on their freshman team) can be quite an asset and advantage. A downside is that players are often more limited in what they will play--often one position either on offense or defense. If St. X were to throw the ball more, I would like to see Matt Spalding as receiver. He has big hands, strength, and athleticism. But I would hate for him to chose receiver and be involved in the offense on a limited basis and only play one position.

    One can always hope. After all, he was educated in HS by Xaverian Brothers.
