Somerset will break loose in this one. I am sure the Taylor team will be prepared, but Somerset needs this one and Coach Cobb and company will exploit the Taylor county secondary for 60pts. Look for this one to be a blowout.

I don't think Cole is the only weapon they have. I believe if they get the ball to the others more balanced, they'll be more successful. IMO Cole will get his touches but EVERYBODY will be looking at him every week. Get others into the act and the offense will be even better.

Somerset begins their once again brutal district schedule. Somerset should win this one, but it will not be easy. Have these two teams ever played each other before?

If they can get the ball to other people and not force it to John 80% of the time, they'd win by as much as they wanted.

Yeah I agree it takes 11 to win, not 1. It's easy to key on one person and shut down there entire offense if I was a betting man I would say SHS gets the running game going strong this week.

I have to disagree with this statement. Somerset district schedule has been anything but brutal.

I think you missed Cap'n Jacks sarcasm in all of his posts regarding Somerset. Kind of ironic that he's taking a shot regarding Taylor Co--they were good enough to be Pulaski's district the last few years.

Maybe, but Cats Pause said they only have 3 offensive and 0 defensive starters returning. Metcalfe returned quite a few more than that.

I don't understand where the shot is at Taylor? They did not "choose" their district (nor did PC for that matter), but one team did, so they could be closer to home. And I feel that Taylor is probably one of the best teams in that district, so...

How do you get to choose your district?

Somerset has found a way to do this 2 times in 6 years. You look for the weakest District that you can possibly find and ask your AD to fill out paperwork to get you in. It is really a lot harder than Somerset makes it look though.

What is the point in assignments if you get to pick which one you want to be in? What would be a valid reason? Are there any other schools "playing up"?

I don't really see it being that big of a deal. They are playing in a higher class so the other teams should have no problem beating them, since they are really just a little 1a school. But that is not going to happen, I think people are scared of what Somerset can do.
