    NKY 6A Contenders?

So after two weeks into the season do we have any teams in NKY 6A that look like they have the potential to contend for the 6A title this season?

At this point the usual names are being circulated from the Louisville area plus a few rogues here and there. Henry Clay looks to have an explosive offense this season and could be ripe for a run.

    What of NKY?

I don't think NKY has a state contender this year.

    Campbell, Ryle? Maybe Boone?

I can't imagine a NKY 6A team winning a title any time soon (if ever), but I would stack them up this way right now:

    Boone Co.
    Ryle
    Campbell Co.

I'd rank them that way, I suppose, with Ryle and Boone neck and neck, but none of them have a chance at state IMO.

To your latter point, obviously. 6A is, was, and shall be, a three horse race for the foreseeable future.

Agreed, getting there is all NKY can hope for for a while. Such as last year.

If you are referring to T, X and H then I would be hesitant there, Manual looks to rock the boat this season.

Doesn't the NKY 6A district winner play the Madison Central/Scott County/Shelby County/GRC district winner in the regional championship this year?

If the winner of this region can avoid T or X in the semi's (which I think this region gets WKY this year), then they most certainly could get to the title game, but not have much of a winning chance like Ryle last season.

It will be one of the Ville3 every year. Either Trinity, Male or St.X.

When is the last time NKY 6A had a team that could legitimately compete for a title? 2004?

This year's teams have no shot.*

*I'm well aware of "On any given day..." etc.

Henderson should be able to compete. I believe their senior class has 680 kids.
