Yes, but in defense of coaches they do not get to see a lot of the teams they are ranking.

So we do have an advantage in that regard.

That and I think there is some wishful thinking going on.

    Doesn't matter anyway.

Good win for NewCath, good luck to Bellevue.

Play up where??? It wouldn't make any sense. Yeah they'd be 3A, but they'd travel a minimum of one hour to get to a district game. Highlands and CovCath's move made as much logistical sense as it did competitive.

Maybe coaches are not as smart as we think they are.

NC is a very fine football team and I think you will see some more hardware on the holy hill come December.

It never ceases to amaze me how often you speak for "most people." Escpecially when it comes to commenting on an opponent who has beaten your team.

"Most people" I know were hopeful that a small independent school district team could muster their talent and enthusiasm to put on a good game. "Most people" I know realize the talent distribution in a town one mile square versus a program able to draw from a wider base is a tough challenge, but one they make willingly and will make year in and year out because you don't get better playing teams you know you can beat. "Most people" I know give credit to teams for things like "takeaways" and "turnovers" and solid play and, yes, getting beaten by a superior opponent and still walking out proud.

Apparently you and I don't know many of the same people.

It's never tasteful to kick dirt in a kids face when he's down on the ground. Think of how you would feel if you were a Bellevue player reading this. I know you didn't mean it that way, but it would be very easy for someone from Bellevue to take your remarks as bad sportsmanship.

I guess Channel 5 doesn't realize NCC is no longer a single A team as they just went to break talking about the Bellevue/NCC game being a game for Supremacy in 1A

    BTW:

****NCC still missing their starting kicker, but the back-up soccer player kicker was 7 for 7 on PATs.

****NCC had 4 defensive TDs. 2 fumble recoveries returned for TDs and 2 INTs returned for TDs.

Here is the obligatory thread warning about keeping this on the game and off of one another.
