I thought we were getting back to the game.

To me it looked like their kicker wasn't very reliable. I think he missed a PAT earlier in the game.

I heard today that they didn't have their #1 kicker because he was injured playing soccer. Can't confirm that info, but it makes the play call more logical.
It still took some guts for Coach Gooch to make the decision.

I think that he had already made the decision to go for 2 once they had scored and to give it to the "big fella"- I think the program said that he was 350 and this id appeard to be the key in the 2nd half for MC.

I am not taking anything away from MC but I thought that they would be better than what they showed- they may have just had a bad game.

I dont think that MC did anything special ( besides the fake punt for a TD) - they seemed to just line up and run the ball with the occasional pass.

First off congratulations to MC on a greta game. Ashland lost a hard fought game that went down to the last play. I truly believe that ashland is much better that their record shows. I also believe had they kept Thomas in the backfield for the entire Russell game they would have won that game. The Tomcats will get it together and surprise everyone come playoff time. I have a feeling once again that Thomas will be moved to Running back. Of course I predicted that before the Russell game a was wrong.
