Yeagle, who has been battling some health problems, will not be on the sidelines tonight when the Juggernauts play Lexington Christian. Offensive coordinator and former Lloyd head coach Roy Lucas Jr. will coach the team. But according to Erlanger/Elsmere superintendent Mike Sander, Yeagle still is the head coach and is still a teacher at Lloyd.

"He's just taking a couple weeks off," said Lloyd athletic director Chad Molley. "Roy's going to take over. But there's nothing beyond that."

Does anyone really actually 100% believe he has medical issues? If I were a parent and/or supporter of Lloyd Memorial I would be highly ticked. He already missed the E-Town game due to dehydration and now he has health issues? Didn't he miss the entire 2002 season due to "Health Issues"? What about Coach Lucas, I mean the guy resigns from coaching only to be brought back on staff because of Yeagle and now he's the head coach for a 2nd game already.

For anyone not to think this is irresponsible is wrong. It is not like this is the first time this has happened.

I agree. There becomes a point where not fulfilling your responsibility becomes absolutually ridiculous.

Yeah because a football game is so much more important than your health.

I am stunned by what has happened however, Coach Yeagle has done some good since being at Lloyd and he is getting the player's out. I think we need to let this ride out the next two weeks and see what happens. I am willing to give him a break and wait the two week's as long as everyone in the administration and coaching agree with it. JD

I'm pretty sure that's not what he was saying.

    I could be wrong...

Health is not just physical. It is also mental and emotional. (Dont read anything into this post, because I do not know what is wrong with Coach Yeagle).

So cut the guy a break. There may be something personal he does not wish to divulge.

Did you not read what I posted? This is not the first time this has happened. Some times it seems like Yeagle shows up to coach when he wants. I'm not buying it. If it were the first time then yes I would but it is not.

If there is some ongoing issue, he shouldn't have taken the job. I would bet he doesn't finish the season, takes a year off, and will be back somewhere to start the soap opera again.

Shiloh, your take is somewhat premature and not fair IMO. Although I am starting to wonder what is going on with his health issues I think with his track record and committment to players/parents, Beechwood, he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

I honestly think he cant stand losing and is possibly doubting whether getting back into coaching football was the right thing to do.

Okay, hypothetically, if, according to you, he just hates to lose.

Doesn't he deserve some flack? Those kids deserve more than someone bailing on them at this point.

Again, totally hypothetically. If that were the case, which I know it's not.

I don't know what is going on with Coach Yeagle and I don't know the Coach, but I am struck with the contrast between your attitude and the attitude IU took regarding their late coach.

Best wishes to Coach Yeagle for a speedy recovery.
