Good point! There are several things 'boiling' here... Titans can't defend the pass, running game is different than last year as they don't have the same speed, parents not happy about who gets to run the ball, and parents trying to tell the coaches who to play and how to coach. Not a good situation at the present.

They had 24 Int's last year as a team, but Im sure you all up in Flatwoods will find some miserable excuse for why that was.

    On the same note.............
Y'all were lucky there was a 40 mph wind, as well.

Actually Gap, Mercer had 30 Int's last year. I believe that is tied for 3rd most ever.

I guess that's not all that great?

Looked it up on KHSAA. 30 Int's last year. State record is 34. There have been three teams with 32 and one team with 31. So I guess that makes them 6th most all-time.

Speaking from the Lincoln County side, the Patriots appear to be "winning ugly" but in my opinion it is nothing more than playing hard and making things happen. It was the case last week and it was the case last night.

Lincoln may not be as talented as they were last year but they seem to be making up for it with determination and effort.

And, they seem to be getting better each week. What more can you ask for?
I have to agree with with you Mr N. As much as we Mercer fans like to think we played bad, we need to take our hats off to a team that never quit. The Lincoln players went 100 mph on every play. They really wanted this win and it showed.
