Could one of the experts help me out on this one. In 3-A
Russell is number 2 with Central at number three. It appears to me that Central has two first place votes and Russell has none. Why would Russell be ranked ahead of Central????? Or are the two first place votes Homer votes that should have gone to Belfry?? I do understand that it is total votes.

Russell must be near the top (but not #1) in almost every poll. Some voters may have Central in the 7-10 range after their loss to Manual, therefore giving Russell more points and a higher ranking.

If true, that would be just one more scathing indictment of the AP poll. I would hope the voters are a little more informed than that.

Five less media members voted this week. Five. One-third fewer than last week.

However, if you are talking top to bottom, then there is no way 3A is weaker than 2A or 1A. Take an objective look at the teams in each class that lies outside the top ten, and consider how they match up with with the same teams in the other two and 3A is stronger than 2A or 1A (as it should be).

Do you really think overall, top to bottom, the 1A and 2A teams would win more than they would lose against the 3A teams?
Even if you only take the Top 5 I still can't see where 3wishes arguement can hold water. 2A has some big names (NCC, Danville, Bardstown) but it is my belief that those 2A teams are really as strong as they have been in recent years, additionally, there is no comparison between 3A Top 5 and 1A Top 5.

If that is the case Ludlow should be in the top 10 as well, or atleast be right outside of the top 10. Because Ludlow beat Trimble County in the first week of the year, who was definitely considered a possible top 10 team, and many were actually surprised they werent a top 10 team to start this year....

I would take the top team in 1A or 2A over the team in 3A to win state playing each other ! Which is B-Wood and NCC .

You know better. Pikeville #3 in 1A is a tossup vs. Belfry #1 in 3A...
1A teams are beating 5A teams, and they can beat 3A teams too...

    Debatable.

Besides, Belfry isn't the best team in 3A ... Central is.

The same way Belfry defeated NCC last season, the team who went on to win the 1A title?

And how many consecutive years has Belfry beat Pikeville now?
