Dixie WILL be ready this week. They have the line on both ways to do the job against Highlands, and certainly have the passing game to score quickly. For the colonels to win they will have to score points in the first half, which so far doesnt seem to be a problem, then Moloney needs to take over and control the clock. If Dixie can keep the ball away from Highland's offense for as long as possible, they can win. They just need to be around in the 3rd quarter, then they will build confidence. Should be a great game. Winner should get homefield advantage in the playoffs, I know Dixie doesn't want to leave thier homefield to play at Highlands. GO DIXIE!!!
Dixie wins- 27- 24 Not on a last second field goal, time will run out on the birds.

After Bricking's performance last week I think that Dixie will be fired up and ready to go. I agree that Molony has to be firing on all cylinders to get the team moving. If Dixie can stop Josh Connor, which is going to be really tough, I definitely think they have a shot to win this game. If Dixie lets Connor run all over them, well, you know what will happen. However...

To rain on the cake eating parade I'm saying Dixie 28- Highlands 24

I think Marty is always firing on all cylinders. I don't know of a game where I've seen him give anything less than 100%. Even if they keep him in check most of the night they will still have to cover him every play, he is a game breaker. Much the same could be said of his counterpart Josh Conner from HHS. Joe has been what a senior QB should be all year. He doesn't make many mistakes and those he does he usually doesn't make twice. Hopefully the birds won't be lucky enough to take advantage of the few mistakes that he will make. I definetly would give him the edge for skill and experience and Cecil the edge for heart and determination.

I believe that it's up to the "O" line to make the difference for Joe and Molony. If they don't block and make the holes they don't run and can't complete passes. Everyone needs to step it up. No FOOLISH mistakes. The "D" has their jobs cut out for them...TACKLES and plenty of coverage.

HHS can play with anyone with there defense. Dixie will need to hit on all cylinders and then some just to control the game tempo. IMO. But the Birds will not let that happen and should win a well played game by both teams. Remember what an old coach says often on Saturdays -- "Turnovers my friend, turnovers will be a factor I can tell you that"

    Go BIRDS

That's easy. If you have shorts on, then you're the only one with the red socks (well, maroon if you're still wearing those dress socks ).

I can see right now I'm going to have to bring my check book with me.

Somebody better call the band and the boosters and tell them were going to need more batter!

Only have seen Dixie play one game. IMO Highlands will be able to cover the sideline pass to Dettmer(sp.). With that said, Dixies offense will sputter. CCH does not have much of a running game, so it is hard to say how Dixie will handle Highlands running game. If you don't count Dixies long sideline passes against CCH, the passing game did not look that great to me.

With that said, I would like to see Dixie upset Highlands, but I do not think it will happen. Highlands by 21.
