I do remember one game that everyone picked us to get killed and we had no chance to win ! But just for fun , we played that game !!!!

I guess my main point is that Dixie must win the TO battle to have a remote shot at winning this game. Dixie turns it over multiple times, they are in deep doo doo. Good luck to both teams.

I can agree with that if you are revering to Dixie turning it over. I took your previous post to mean that we had to CREATE turnovers on D. It's no mystery that whoever wins the TO battle usually wins the game, however HHS is fundamentally sound. They don't turn the ball over that much. They don't jump offsides when it's first and goal. They don't get called for Delay of game when it's first and goal. They don't make bonehead mistakes that potentially could make the difference in a ball game. We will not beat HHS by creating turnover's, we will beat them by taking care of the football when WE have it. Period.

BTW - I would like to add about 50 more words to my post but I'm pretty sure that if I do I'll be suspended.......again!

SM32 I usually agree with you 99% of the time. However, the defense has, IMO, "let up" late in games and it could be that they are a little gassed in the 4th quarter. I'm trying to have patience with this new offense however it does not make for good sustained drives to get the defense rest. Have we concentrated so much on the spread that the running game was neglected? It's obvious to me we miss T.D. and of course I'm sure you know of the other kid that quit again (two years in a row) just recently.

If, and I stress "if", Dixe gets waxed , say 35-7, what would your feelings be?

Changes nothing in my mind. We're not near as good in week 4 as we will be when the season is over and the playoffs start. And all though this is a great game for this week the only real thing it does is decided one and two in the district. I have no doubt that these two will meet in week two of the playoffs regardless. NKY will be in the 5A championship game IMO.

I agree with you, they are getting gassed. However, they've got 3 games under their belts, and hopefully, they're good to go this week as we know Highlands is deep. As for the offense, I won't even go there. Almost everyone knows my feelings about it by now. And it still hasn't changed much. Did that other kid quit right after the Beechwood game?

Maybe we need to get a conditioning petition together.

The truth is, Tom looks like a genius in some aspects. With only five teams in a district where you give out four spots we're almost assured of spot. Add to that CCH and HHS and it's safe to say that if you make it out of the district you have a very real chance of winning state. Then add on that by week 12 our kids are peaking and well conditioned every year.

BTW - the new offense is not so new. I've seen it before. We used it in 01 and in 03 and 04 a little. Now that is not to say that it was the main focus, but we have run the formations and plays before. I like the traditional O better too. The running game suffers needlessly in the new formation IMO. Their are certain down and distances that require extra blockers. The I, off set I, split, veer or for god's sake just a TE would help!

I kinda figured that happened. I didn't see him at the SK game, and didn't see him on the video of the CCH game.

It's finally nice to see that the Colonels don't have to open up the season playing Highlands. In my years there, which were very recent, I always hated to play Highlands in our opening game. With that being said, I am going to have to go with the Birds on this one, even though I don't like doing it.
