I just don't understand how people don't think Dixie doesnt have the one of the best lines. All the pre talk before the Beechwood game was how big and bad the tigers o-line was, Dixie's was just as big and bad. Dixie has some monsters and a couple of them can move suprisingly well. They IMO are definatly one of the top o-lines in the nky. Now boys lets go out and prove me right by letting marty run all over the Bluebirds secondary. 1...2...3... DIXIE PRIDE!!! as one of the coaches quoted "Highlands tradition vs. Dixie PRIDE"

They have the potential to have one of the best lines in NKY, but it's not quite there yet. Until they get more aggressive and sustain their blocks, they'll continue to be an above average group. The line last year started the same way, and progressively got better as the season went along. They've gotten so used to pass blocking, that when they run block, they're not driving defenders backwards, and they're not sticking with the block. Red Heat mentions this every week too, so I'm not the only one noticing this.

Why are there no Pre-sale tickets available for this game? Neither school is offering them. Why? Who makes the call on this sort of thing?

It's completely in the home schools hands. If or if not, how many and how much...

Well let's hope this week that EJ and Bricking follow-up with an encore performence. If this happens the running game would open up alowing the blocking to be "easier." Dixie does have size, but Highlands quickness will be a very good test. I think the Colonels (especially since its homecoming weekend) will be up to the challenge. IMO they will be the difference in the game, like most games, but this one more importantly. When the birds blitz, we need to cover for as long as we can. Bricking, Dettmer, and Moloney will lead us to victory, but the boys in the trenches need to show them the way.

    I agree.

I am as BIG a Dixie Heights fan as anyone but I do not believe that playing at Dixie will be what makes the difference. After all it is something like 1 win vs Highlands at Dixie and 0 wins against Highlands at Highlands in the last 30 years.

The key for the Colonels is confidence and never loosing confidence in themselves. Watching Dixie play Highlands in the past, it seems like they get down early and say here we go again, and things fall apart. Dixie has to with stand the 1st blow and fight back, they can win tonight, but it will not be easy. They just have to make sure it is not easy for the Birds.

Good luck to both teams come out of this one healthy and lock horns again. The next time they meet, it will likely decide if one team gets their 17th? state title or if the other can get their 1st.

About their "balanced attack"? If so, it has balanced out in recent weeks, however, I'm still not a fan of this spread. I hope Spritzky has a plan. We'll find out how much of an offensive guru he is tonight. IMO, the keys to this game are his adjustments at halftime, and containing Highlands' speed on both sides of the ball. IMO, they have a lot more speed than Dixie. On offense, I'm hoping for a ball control style with quick passes and runs, with the occassion attempt at the homerun when Highlands gets a little over aggressive. This will help to keep Highlands' offense off the field. Then on defense, the defenders have to keep their assignments. The LBs cannot get sucked into the middle on the play fakes, and they have to spy on Cecil when he's in at QB. Also, the kicker (I'm having a brain fart right now on his name) has to kick the ball into the endzone, because the coverage team struggled last week.

The Boom Bus will leave Ft Thomas tonight at 5. Don't know where we will park yet. Probably just park as far away as possible. You know what happen the last time we visited somebody else on Dixie Highway a couple of weeks ago.
