Uh.....Not. BG had almost no offense outside of western Kentucky opponents last year.

Guess what happens if they don't combine both schools before last year, since you think you're so good at knowing what all goes on down here and the REAL THINKING of this merger?!? If they don't take the fiscal money from both school systems to combine, the new school (that is in construction) would only be one of $18 million, instead of the almost $27 million that it is going to be. Try this one on for size....Don't you think that with that extra $9 million that, the total area of the school would be bigger, more classrooms would be built, computers, etc. to be able to fully serve the population of the school adequately?!?? Makes sense to me. Also, tell me who would have applied for a Superintendent's job in a district that was going to be going under in a year or less, anyway?! That had a WHOLE LOT to do with it, but I forgot, you live here and are apart of the community and school system, so you know it all, right?! Go check the enrollments for the classifications last year and you'll see that Mercer's gap in 2A compared to the smallest 2A school wasn't any bigger than it was in 1A, 3A and especially not 4A. In 4a, you had schools like Henderson, Henry Clay, Dunbar, Manuel, Lafayette, etc. playing with an enrollment of close to 2,000-2,200...playing against schools like Lincoln County that barely had over 1,100!!! Do the Math, it's not that hard. Good luck to you all tonite!

I was once told that "gossip" and false "gossip" at that, was one of the worst things a person could do. Why you and others feel that you have the right to voice your opinions on things that you have absolutely no idea about is completely beyond me. Good luck to you and your Red Devils this year. Class program!
    Enjoy the game.

And you know this ... how?

Actually, Bowling Green wasn't winning games on the strength of their offense. It was their defense, field position and kicking game.

The only teams that beat Bowling Green that handled Bowling Green were multi-faceted offenses like Lexington Catholic and Covington Catholic. There's no evidence that Mercer County would have been able to do that to the Purples.

I expect that a Bowling Green-Mercer County game, had the Titans gotten by Louisville Central, would have been a fairly low-scoring game, with the Purples prevailing.

Then again, it's just my opinion.

Mercer was playing in the wrong division last year. That has nothing to do with you or Mercer unless you work for KHSAA who dropped the ball. There was no reason two football teams could not have been fielded last year. You had two high schools. That would have solved the problem. How about the teams that were suppose to play Harrodburg. Were they just kicked to the curb? You know very well what KHSAA did last year was at the expense of all players in 2-A and the ones that should have played Harrodsburg. Your only defense is It's old news, stop crying, ect. Enjoy 5-A.
Wrong thread........dig up one from last year and get the whining completely out of your system. In the meantime, don't hijack this one. You're way off topic.
