East Carter is pretty good right now. Their new coach has them moving in the right direction. But, I think Mason Co. is just too much for them at this point.

I'll take Mason to win - but expect a good showing from EC.

Critical district game; winner will be on the way to a first-round home-field playoff game. Should be a close, hard-hitting game.

Kind of tough to get a bead on the Royals so far this season. Played 1A Paris, 6A Boone and 3A district foe Lewis County (who is experiencing something of a downturn) so far - this may be the first game with two fairly evenly matched opponents.

If Mason keeps the penalties to a minimum and contains EC's running game - Mason wins 27-14.

That is very impressive and as such the Raiders may have a very difficult time with the Royals. Thanks for the info. A casual glance at a 42-20 score usually makes you think of those game where it was 42-7, the dogs were called off, and then the score became a bit more respectable. Obviously not the case here.

How did Boone overcome the halftime deficit?

Seriously, was the score of the Boone County bashing not a true representation of the closeness of the game or is your opinion of Boone County so great that you feel a 22 point loss to them is enough of a statement to back up the predicition?
Boone is a 6A school, who Mason played very well with for over a half and if they played Russell this Friday they would lose, but feel that the Boone game improved them and they will continue to get better before Russell(and the game is at Mason)

East runs the ball mostly but throws once in a while,so you will not just key on the run.I have not seen Mason County play this year but what I am hearing this should be a good ball game.

My mistake a couple of posts ago - you're saying that the Russell-Mason game is at Mason. I misread.
