Ironic how often the Zebras get blamed by the team on the short end of the score.

It also amazes me how CAL fans act all dumbfounded that their reputation as a program and school is so poor around the state, and has been for a long time.

Hearsay, you have to let go those CAL-Bardstown games from years past. I see you.

I have no dog in this fight but one of the things you have to consider in the playoffs is that the refs come from different parts of the state. Crews that officiate Cal & DeSales games in the regular season are local. One thing coaches fear during the playoffs is how the out of town refs will call the game. What may be considered “excessive celebration” to one crew from another region may not be called that way during the regular season. But coaches and teams need to adjust to how the game is called.
Watch during the finals in Lexington and you will see crews doing something a little bit different than the other 5 crews.

When we played CAL in the 1st round I thought they got away with a ton holding that was not called. They also had several plays that could have been flagged that were on the line of dirty play and not called. We don't have any history with CAL and I just chalked it up to just that game. It looks like others feel CAL has a history of it. I think CAL was better on that night but the non holding calls definitely were a factor in the pass game.

    10. No gambling, bookmaking or point spread comments are allowed in any of the high school forums. Figures of speech that use gambling terms may not be used in any of the high school forums. All gambling comments are permitted in the non-high school forums as long as they do not involve any high school sports, students, or student-athletes.

    4. No recruiting comments or allegations of KHSAA rules violations by any school, coach, player or booster are allowed. No comments about where any player lives, has lived, or where they are from in a recruiting context. This is not the place to report KHSAA violations.
