    Snyder’s NEKY Super Seven

I’m not sure if a “Monday Morning Quarterback” column is in the works prior to kickoff, so here’s the preseason version of my “Super Seven.”

    1. Johnson Central
    2. Ashland
    3. Raceland
    4. Russell
    5. Lawrence County
    6. Paintsville
    7. Greenup County

I thought Russell had a lot returning from last year's team? I might have them slightly ahead of Ashland and Raceland.

Most of their backfield returns, but they have a new OL that needs experience and big shoes to fill at LB. With what Ashland has returning I think Aaron's rankings are pretty accurate.

That poll looks about right to me. If Greenup Co. improves like most expect, this year's Super Seven could be the deepest in..... maybe ever?

On paper, Russell's offense could be it's best in years if the OL comes together. I expect Nick Conley to take a big step towards Josh Gross/Kasey Clark territory this season. That's saying a lot, but I believe he has the tools.

JC will be dominate compared to every other team in Eastern Kentucky. Its men against boys with those guys versus the rest of Eastern Kentucky other than Belfry. The rest of the teams are okay, Raceland will have a good run because single A is watered down and even worse than it was last couple of seasons. The rankings looks pretty good to me, best of luck to all the teams.

Aaron Snyder does a really good job IMO. I like his ratings and agree with them. I would put Ashland ahead of Russell and Raceland for now but we will find out quickly as Ashland plays both early.

JC is the team to beat hands down but on any given night anything can happen.

Looks right on for now. Things could change quickly in a few weeks.

Looks pretty good to me, although Ashland is probably ranked a little high considering how many starters they lost.
