Eastern wins the tournament and nobody gets within 10 points of them all week.

Welcome to BGP 'RitesofAutumn' and thanks for the information. So that makes it 4 teams (25% of the field) that enter the Sweet 16 as district runner-ups. I wonder:

    A. How many district runner-ups have ever won the Sweet 16?

    B. What the highest number of district runner-ups that have been in a Sweet 16 in a given year?

The team out of the upper bracket will have nothing left Saturday night. B East from the bottom will steal it away!

    I agree.

I picked Dixie... I'm sure not too many picked Simon-Kenton in 1981.

A lot of northern-Kentucky biased posters on BGP.

3 district runner-ups in the state tournament. That's a lot more than usual.

    1- Eastern, 2-Clarke Co

B East advances from a much easier bottom half.

Eastern knows Bullitt East very well. They played and beat them twice this year(KOB,LIT). I truly doubt that they will sneak up on Eastern if they happen to meet in the finals. Eastern will NOT take them lightly.

You are so right one game at a time. Sure hope they can win it all but the upper bracket is very brutal.
