    The Spin Move

There seems to be lots of confusion with what's legal and what's not legal. This video should help.

Not sure I'm any more clear. So, the officials didn't get some of them right either?

Correct. I know it shocks some of you that an official missed a call......

Gotta give the BBA guys credit for the assigning secretary to get game tapes from the schools and put this together shows that they are working hard to get better just like the teams are.

Interesting video...however, what is that makes one spin move legal, and another illegal? Could you please explain? I have been watching basketball for several decades now, and this year, there were a handful of officials that called every spin move a violation and others who did not blow their whistles at all. Just give a clear and concise explanation as to what makes a spin move illegal.

I thought the last move was legal. I've watched it several times and can't see where it's illegal.

Traveling occurs when you lift your pivot foot and THEN put it back on the floor PRIOR to passing or shooting the ball. So the "he lifted his pivot foot" yell from the bench or stands is obviously by someone that doesn't understand the requirements.

In the illegal moves, the players re-plant thier original pivot foot, therefore traveling is/should be called.
