I agree. With the loss of many talented bigs in the region to graduation, he could be a difference maker.

I think next year is going to be wide open-even more so than this year.
Will Pike have the necessary academic requirements to allow him to graduate early? If so he could start college in January of 2012 like a lot of the big college programs are doing with big recruits these days?

I think that most kids would prefer to enjoy their final year of High School with their buddies and all of the senior activities that take place.....they're only young once.

Just my opinion but I think Zeke will play basketball. He has always been very passionate about basketball and the family connection to Dixie basketball runs pretty deep. However, with thaat being said at the quarterback position there has been a trend to graduate in December and be available for spring practice to get a head start on learning the offense. You see that more at that position than any other position. If he signs at a school where he has an opportunity to compete for a starting position as a true frosh that becomes a lot tougher decision.

Speaking of Gray and Hayes... has there been any discussion about their futures in B-Ball? Both showed a lot of talent this season and played at a decent high level for having only played varsity for one season. I have to believe that both have potential to be a nice fit for somebody at the next level and that we have yet to see their full potential. Both were dynamite players but wonder if they were noticed enough to get any attention.

I think they'd fit in well with a D3 program but not sure either is higher than that. I'll ask around and see what I can find out about their college decisions. Both are outstanding students though, holding high gpa's so I'm sure they'll further their education whether it be for athletics or academics.

Walter, he did not hear wrong. He IS indeed enrolled at Dixie as of today. He was at school today attending classes and walking the halls with Dixie students in between classes. He is definately at Dixie Heights now.

From what I was told Jaleel went on a college visit last week to Columbus State. I'm not sure how correct that is.

That would be a good fit for Jaleel. They are traditionally one of the better JUCO's in this region and is the same school Greg Rice attended so there are Holmes ties.

Gray is a late bloomer and would be a steal at a low level D1after redshirting his freshman year imo

I completely agree with that. He was my favorite player to watch this past season. Gray's got a real nice game and looks like his better years are still yet ahead of him. Whoever gets him is getting a deal.

He is the type of player that takes teams like Butler and VCU to the final four by the time they are seniors...For example Shelvin Mack even though he and Gray are different types of players...He could also play at NKU but they always miss on the Holmes kids...

Good point Walter about Mitch Mckenzie from BW. He is still very much growing and could be 6'8 or 6'9 that could cause match up problems with Cruse at 6'5 Maus at 6'4.
