Now that Coach Reitz has retired, who will take his place?

Will HC remain loyal and go with longtime assistant Larry Kendall?

This would be a great job for Augusta's Jason Hinson if he would be interested. Someone that would work their tale off and a great motivator. Robin Kelsch would either have 1. up his pay to keep him in A-town or 2. let Hinson pick the menu out for each home game buffet that is laid out on the stage for the conession stand or maybe both.

How old is he? Will he stay there for awhile?

I just don't see Jason leaving Augusta yet.

Don't know if hiring Larry Kendall would be a good move. Great guy and good assistant coach but his son is a senior this year and don't know if he would stay for very long.

I think he has been a life long Harrison Co resident or for most of his days anyway.

This is true. He did spend a couple of years in Dalton, GA coaching but for the most part he's been in Cynthiana.
He might not have the name recognition of other coaches, but he knows all the kids and I'm pretty sure he still has a daughter and another son to come through HCHS.
Just guessing on age, but I'd say he is 48.

I had just heard this on WFTM Radio, Coach Rietz is certainly a class act, and has been one of the 10th Regions best Coaches.

I'm getting word that the position has already been filled.
Harrison Co. has stayed at home and has hired longtime assistant Larry Kendall as the new head boys basketball coach.
Still waiting on official word, but this came from a source IN the situation. I'll keep you posted.

Position filled just hours after being posted. Larry Kendall takes the helm after being an assistant for 17 years. He worked as an assistant under Coach Reitz and his older brother Lee Kendall. Harrison Co graduates 3 seniors and has a host of experienced players returning. Harrison has 3-4 good players in each class and a freshman class that won their middle school conference.
