Great pics. Nice to see them use the Werner ladder to cut down those nets.

I am certain that the Cards will represent the 10th well at Rupp.

Not making any predictions, but there's nothing like what a state title does for a small community; especially that first one. Eight years later and they're still talking about Lofton & Company in and around Maysville. Maybe Winchester will get to experience the same thing!
GRC already has a state title in basketball. They won the state championship way back in 1951. I know that is a long time ago.....but still a state title.

Glad to at least see pictures rather than reading about Mason Co. - Clark Co. This was about Clark Co. and Pendleton Co. Can we get back to the game? Michael Walsh played phenomenal D in these 3 games. He guarded Omar Prewitt, Treg Setty, and Vinny Zollo. Zollo did some nice things in the game, but Walsh held him to 5 points. By the way he is only 6'2" and that may be stretching it. Also, Aaron Bonar did a great job on Rogers holding him to 10 points. Would you believe this kid has only played 2 yrs of organized basketball? I can't imagine how good he would be if he had been playing since he was a little tot. Great run Pendleton!

Who was # 50? He was the one that impressed me....played his heart out. The thing about GRC is you hold one player to 5 or 10 points and another one steps up and scores. GRC is a very unselfish team. Not sure on the assists in this game , but I know R. Stenzel and Zollo had 5 assists each in the Scott game. R. Stenzel had 15 points in the first quarter, then I believe only shot one more time in the game.We also did a great job on Monroe, he only had 10 points.

Aaron Bonar only has played 2 years? Wow that is impressive. I knew Pendleton would bring a big crowd and they did, as well as GRC. Pendleton really put it together in the post season when it counts. A season I know they will remember. What will they have returning next year?

Pendleton returns 4 of their top 6 players next year.

#50 was Aaron Bonar, and yes he has only played two years.

They return alot then. The 10th will be wide open next year.We could see a team get hot at tourney time like PC did this year.

Just loved the way he played against us...played his heart out. Love that in a kid.

From what I saw, losing Walsh will be the equivalent of losing two starters. Kid plays bigger than his size & is fearless. PC will miss him dearly. Still a lot of talent in Falmouth, but from my vantage point, Walsh is a huge loss.

We as a community have won State Championships before and competed in many sports at the state level. Clark County is not the type place where one sport is "King". Trust me when I say this team would have been even more fired up had they played Mason county again!
Sorry, I wasn't trying to ruffle any Cardinal feathers. It was simply my impression that the Cards played much better in the two games (Scott, Pendleton) after Mason County got kayoed than in the two preceding games (Montgomery, Harrison). If that's "Mason County ego", I guess I'm guilty as charged.

I also truly had no idea that Clark County was home to so many state titles that a 2011 basketball crown wouldn't get Winchester energized. The 2003 and 2008 basketball titles sure got our area excited! Should the Cards be fortunate enough to win this year's title, I suppose no one here will think much of it, just business as usual.

My apologies, and good luck to Clark County next week!

Congrats Robbie on 2000! PC soph Mason Monroe went over 1000 in the same game.
Doubt that has ever happened before in a 10th Region Final.
