You must be confusing Jake Thelen with Jake Geisler. I'm pretty sure Thelen was not on the CCH football team.

Congrats to Jake and family. To say he loves Alabama, is a understatement.

Jake has not played Football since his Freshman year. However, it is my opinion that he definitely could have been an outstanding H.S. Football player. When he played offensive tackle, he was excellent. He had the footwork, and the solid base as a pass blocker. He needed work as a run blocker, but had he committed himself to being a football player, I have little doubt he would have had his college paid for as well. However, as Clyde mentioned Jake had no desire to be an offensive lineman.

I think he made a wise choice for his basketball future, he will get to play college basketball and a strong Jesuit college in a good size town with a climate that is quite appealing September thru May. Good luck to Jake in College!
