Kentucky will not be able to stay with the Indiana team at all.

They'll be OK if they keep some rebounders on the team.

If Kentucky wants to win at least one of the games, they better keep Geisler on the team. He plays both ends of the floor and has high energy.

1 - Anthony Hickey (Undeclared) is Mr. Basketball, so he's in.

I don't see any of the following being left off:

    2 - Chane Behanan (Louisville)
    3 - Kameron Woods (Butler)
    4 - Ryan Taylor (Louisville)
    5 - Zach Price (Louisville)
    6 - Remy Abell (Bradley)
7 - George Fant (Western Kentucky)
    8 - Tony Kimbro (Undeclared)

If there are only 12 spots, and everyone tries out, then we're left with four more spots. Of the rest of the list, I feel fairly confident that a spot would go to:

9 - DeVante Parker (UL Football, could be a D1 basketball)

Now, things get really uncertain. You have three spots between the following players who are all D1 athletes (the number corresponding to each name is ESPN's 'grade' of the prospect, and I'll order them as such wherever possible):

Vinny Zollo (Western Kentucky University - 88)
Robbie Stenzel (Eastern Kentucky University - 80)
    Jordan Shanklin (IUPUI - 83)
Timmy Knipp (Eastern Kentucky University - 79)
Lyonell Gaines (IUPUI - 78); could be hurt by Louisville/Eastern #'s
    Marcellus Barksdale (IUPUI - 40)
Arman Marks (James Madison - 40)
DeOndre McWhorter (Morehead State - 40)

A name that I feel belongs somewhere in the list above is Taylor Martin (UK Baseball, Elite prospect)

    This still leaves out:

    Ryan Fucci (WKU Baseball)
    Jermaine Jackson (Undeclared - 40)
    Jake Geisler
    Cory Rogers

I know I'm probably leaving some other good possibilities out as well, but I do not envy whoever has to make the cuts. How we match up with Indiana may go a long way in determining who grabs the final spots.

It's a rare year, indeed, when we can put together an all-star team in this state made up entirely of Division I signees.

Cory Rogers has signed to play football at UT-Martin. Didn't know if you knew this as you had listed where the other players were going that wasn't playing basketball in college.

Agree this will be very competitive to even make the team. There are also a few that usually decline the invitation for various reasons too. Usually there is a head coach and 2 assistants. Anyone with info. for sure who they are?

I didn't know that he had signed with UT-Martin. That's great though. Loved watching him play and enjoy playing basketball. Again, this just goes to show how relatively deep our talent pool is this year.

Did he sign after the state tournament or awhile back? I didn't hear any buzz about it at Rupp (though many agreed that he had the look of someone they'd want on their football or basketball team any day of the week). I usually try to keep up with where everyone moves on to, but this one really slipped through the cracks on me.

Well, I got curious and tried to answer my own question. He's a link a found that really paints Rogers as a great kid whose got his head on straight.

    http://blogs.courier-journal.com/jod...nd-weatherman/

The 6-foot-4, 235-pound tight end said he signed with Tennessee-Martin last week because he wants to become a meteorologist. "I want to get my meteorologist degree and it’s a great school for that," Rogers said. "Of course, anytime you get a free education it works wonders for me. And they also want me to play tight end right away."

Sounds like a guy whose really going to enjoy playing sports, and could be in for quite a future after it as well. Always great to hear.

Another link on Demling's blog said that he had some interest, and even a potential visit to UK. Anyone whose even sniffing the radar of an SEC football program is going to be quite the athlete.

    Thanks for the info.
I spoke to a guy up at the Ft. Thomas Armory (where pickup games are played) and he told me that Geisler reserved a halfcourt for a private workout yesterday and tomorrow Jacksonville College is coming up to do a private workout with him. I also heard that NKU has offered but wants him to make a decision within 10 days or they are pulling it. Whatever, the kid can play and Jacksonville would be a great fit for him.
