Strange game. St. Patrick outplayed and led the Panthers through two and a half quarters, going up 9 points at 35-26 mid-third when Andrew Sticklen goes out of the game with foul trouble. In his absence the Panthers come back to take the lead at the end of the quarter on an Augusta 3-pointer ahead of the buzzer.

The fourth quarter was all Panthers as Owens Crawford hit some big shots, and St. Patrick got desperate with the wrong guys shooting on a regular basis. Sticklen, who was money for three quarters, became a non-factor spectator in the fourth quarter. Go Figure!

I was impressed with the play of St. Pat point-guard Brenden Bauer and equally impressed with that of Owens Crawford.

It was definitly all St Pat for most of this one. When Sticklen is not in the game it's a big void for the Saints to try and fill. Kudos to Augusta for pulling out the win. In a game that they were out played in for most of.

Let's not let it be lost on the evening that Sr. big man Andrew Sticklen scored his 1000 point in this one. All be it in a losing effort still a nice accomplishment for the young man.
