I think Owsley has made the right call in the coaching staff this year. (Not putting the former coach down, he left because of a shot at a job close to his home and young family. Coach Parrett was a class act, a super person!) Coach Noble and his staff have the team moving in the right direction. Number one, the change in the boys attitudes, including confidence, is a major improvement. Number two, there are 6-7 boys on the team that have played together since 5th grade. I think this is their year to shine. Because of the many coaching changes over the past 5 years, this team has suffered. But Coach Noble seems to have pulled the team back together. We will see a glimpse at Maroon/White Night on November 9 and the following weekend at the Panarama on November 17 at Owsley.

Looking forward to both Maroon/White and the Panarama. It's "Basketball time again in beautiful downtown Booneville", as PA announcer Jamie Brunk likes to announce before the lineups are announced.

The "Basketball in Booneville" has become well known around the area as people here from Powell mention it everytime they go to a game at Owsley. I believe that Mr. Brunk should get a patton!
