I beg to differ. It would be about the same except we've only had one for 3 years and the other we had for 6 years.

Christie completely intrigues me, but I don't think he would be elected. Not because of his politics, but because of his demeanor. I don't have a problem with it, I actually find it "real". But, I highly doubt that most would appreciate it as much as I do.

I'm with you. If there was ever a guy who can "win the press conference" it's him.

I think a lot more agree with you than you believe. The country is looking for someone like Christie to take hold so that we can have a refreshing voice to eliminate the constant platitudes and typical rhetoric we are fed.

Nixon would never be considered a breath of fresh air but was at least competent.

We may need to start a Democratic nominee thread if things don't pick up for Obama. I don't think Hillary's giving up the ghost yet and if he continues to slip I think she may take a shot.

The 3 yahoos of Bachmann, Palin, and Trump are nothing but a circus sideshow.

My guess is we'll hear that Huckabee is interested.

    Bobby Jindal?

Who excites us? Who is intriguing?
All of these potential candidates excite me. (I am a Democrat )

And that is exactly why he will not be the Republican nominee. Seriously, that is the catch 22 right now on the Republican side. The right wingers have so much clout in the primary process that it is difficult for a moderate nominee to win.
