theguru Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Some interesting choices. Congrats to all those that made AP All State!
00Rocket28 Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 4 Guys from Ft. Campbell b/w the 1st and 2nd teams, very nice! I've said it before, they were the most impressive players at state to me. Several of those guys can play on Saturdays!
knights52 Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 those are pretty solid teams except wheres Matt Smith??? Maybe ive missed him but i was wondering where he was, but these are very solid picks. this is waaaaay better than the courier journal.
chevyman Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 From the AP ... Corey Robinson of Lone Oak is Mr. Football for the state of Kentucky. Boone County running back Cory Farris finished in a three-way tie for second place. Ty Scroggins of Central and Shawn Berner of Fort Campbell were named the co-coaches of the year. We should have the all-state teams here shortly. We'll let you know. KY Enquirer posted by Ryan Ernst at 6:06 PM 0 comments links to this post
EastSideJunkie Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Hmmm, yeah real solid teams...Ha! Two of the better players in the state - Matt Smith and E.J. Fields - don't even get honorable mention? Wow
Henry521 Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Congrats: Luke Ryan Josh Austin Alex Go Birds
The Scribe Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 The central Kentucky kids got the hose because apparently, no one from that part of the state voted. Kids from Frankfort, Danville, Corbin, Metcalfe County, and Bardstown were left out.
Canescat Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Wow! "Interesting choices" is being very diplomatic. Many deserving players were left off on both sides of the ball.
ftbll4life Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Congrats to Louisville Central's Mister Cobble and Ty Scroggins :dancingpa

Jeepman Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Congratulations to all the players that made the list. Thank goodness they did not leave the Highlands players off the list like they did some teams.
oldonetechnique Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 There have been 8 kids make CJ all-state at Franklin County in the last 5 years, only one of them has made the AP team. He was also Mr. Football runner up. What does a kids have to do to be on this team.
hokieman Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Where is the rest of the honorable mention def. Lbers and dbs?
