DevilMayCare
Week 2 Headlines • Boyle hits Station with a pop “Quis” • James shovels dirt on Graves • Deuce gets loose First Team All-Watchlist Taken from Jared Peck's x/twitter. Montavin Quisenberry (Boyle County, ATH) Following a productive, but restrained opener, Quisenberry flashed against Bryan Station with three first half touchdowns and 122 yards from scrimmage on seven touches. “Q” was in no mood to play around as he ran through goal line contact for both touchdown runs and battled through double coverage for a long touchdown reception. He ran the spectrum from elusive open field runner, to bullish finisher, to deep threat. Season to date: 9 carries for 108 yards and 2 touchdowns | 8 catches for 134 yards and 1 touchdown Second Team All-Watchlist Jack James (Paducah Tilghman, QB) Tilghman's embarrassment of riches at the receiver position would make any quarterback look good, but the nature of that pitch and catch relationship is symbiotic. Someone has to set it all in motion. The Tornado's trigger man diced up Graves County's secondary for a career high 438 yards and five touchdowns, plus two more with his legs. James is now tied with Lone Oak's Corey Robinson at #4 for career touchdown passes, and needs only two more for sole possession of second place. Brady Lee has been very good so far, but he's coming from way off the pace. There's a line in front of him a mile long. If he goes bananas against CovCath and Beechwood back-to-back and SK wins both games, he will have piqued my interest. And even then, he's still a longshot. I have my criteria for this thing, and it is what it is. 2

But this is an all class award and Brady Lee arguably wasn't in the top 20 QB's in the state last year. He was 24th in completion percent. He threw 9 INT's in his 10 games played which was about 25th among the top QB's in the state. He only threw 17 TD passes last year, which was about 45th of the top 50 QB's in the state. He has a great start to the 2024 season but he will need to play like that an entire season to have any hope of even being considered.

This is not the year to be a quarterback coming from the shadows. There's way too much going on at that position in the '25 class.
