Awesome job by Coach Listerman and the birds! This was a fun journey to watch. There were some dark days early on when Coach Listerman took over the program where he was reviving/building the program but he had a vision and stayed the course. Couldn’t be more happy for him.

Per the Lexington Herald-Leader, Highlands obliterated the previous 3-Point record for 3s made in the tournament.  The old mark was 33.  Highlands had 37 at halftime, added one more in the second half and ended up with 38 for the tournament.

Here is the stat I would love to know: 

Out of 128 minutes of Sweet Sixteen games Highlands played these 3 days.....how much time were they down.

My guess it was less then 10 min but thats a guess.

Anybody bored enough to figure out this stat???

Per the official KHSAA stats it was 12:38. They trailed McCracken County for nine seconds in the third quarter. They trailed Elizabethtown for 21 seconds in the first quarter (the opening basket). The other 12:08 came against Ashland. All but 32 seconds of that against Ashland came in the long stretch they led in the first and second quarters. 
 

So worth noting that in total, Highlands trailed for 41 seconds in the second half. 
 

They also never trailed by more than the six points Ashland had them down at one point. McCracken led by only 1 and Elizabethtown by only 2.

And just think they had a 3-3 record going into the Scott game and down to Scott at Halftime. Came out on fire in the 3rd and won by 25.
 

Then went 27-1 and Won the title.  Wow!!
