Their 1st win of the year was against St. X that year. They didn't win district, but still won state. That was Brian Brohm's senior year. That district was loaded with talent. There were 7 teams in the district and 5 of those teams had kids that ended up in the NFL. That was also the year that the #4 seed Shelby County beat the #1 seed out of NKY. I believe it was Conner. Correct. They lost to Montgomery Bell 17-13. Then Cincy St. X at Ryle 24-17 Manual 37-36 & Seneca 34-33 They whipped everybody after that until Ballard, the last game of the regular season, which was 22-20. Seeing that Seneca score makes you think what the heck has happened to that program.

There were a lot of good coaches on that staff. We had talent in bunches. Multiple kids played college ball, including 3 who played DI. You don’t hear that said about Seneca often. 1

Seneca actually had good teams in football, baseball, track, wrestling & basketball that year & it’s because many of the football players played those other sports. The baseball team, led by Andy Clark, won over 20 games & lost in the regional finals. The basketball team won over 25 games & won the LIT that year. The football team won district & was ranked #1 in the final regular season 4A poll, back when 4A was the largest class.
Footballfan16 11 Posted February 23 Trinity will be rebuilding this year but there is plenty of talent to compete versus the KY talent. Will likely come down to them, X or Male for 6A again.
