Someone said it's the first time since 1935 that they've only played once. Not sure if that's true or not.

Seems like there were a couple seasons in the early 2000s when they didn’t. I’d have to go back and look though.

Based on the letter sent out by the Erlanger-Elsemere superintendent of schools, I'm going to guess that Dayton is scrambling to see if they can find a game to replace their game scheduled against Lloyd Memorial.

Dayton returns senior QB Nolan Brooks and leading RB/WR Jordan Marksberry. The Greendevils ran a very ground-oriented offense last year, with their offense tallying 2136 rushing yards to their 673 passing yards on the season. Dayton benefits greatly from experience this year, though, with only four players lost to graduation from last season.

3 of the 4 graduates they are looking to replace come off of the line, though, and Coach Herbst will be relying heavily on his sophomores and juniors this year, after having 60% of his 35-man roster (14 Soph/7 Frosh) made up by underclassmen in 2019.

The Greendevils' D lost their #1 tackler, LB Caulyn Asher, to graduation, but returns 7 of their 10 top defensive players.
